Simple maintenance turned to all sorts of issues I have used the Chevrolet dealership in Crestview for 10+ years and never had any problems with the quality of work until recently. Over the past year I have used the Chevrolet dealership in Crestview for 10+ years and never had any problems with the quality of work until recently. Over the past year, really since it’s been Allen Turner, each time I’ve taken my car in for service I ALWAYS have to take it back because something wasn’t done properly. Last February I took it in for an oil change and they said I should do fuel cleaner, so I agreed. Bad choice! A few days after they completed that my car was driving horribly, sputtering and wouldn’t go over 25-30mph or just go dead. Found out the throttle body went out. A few months later I had my brakes replaced and had to take it back a few times after that because it was making a horrible scrubbing noise, no one there could tell me what was causing it other than it was due to the type of car it it…that made no sense to me. The brand new brakes sounded worse than the ones that I’d had on for 80k miles. They said the rotors were fine, and it would be a waste of money to replace them. The service manager rode with me and told me to just turn my radio up if it was bothering me. Then I had a headlight bulb go out. I took it in for replacement (because it’s a pain to get to without the proper tools), but they didn’t put the headlight back in the frame correctly. I was just dealing with it, then my passenger headlight went out and I couldn’t see anything because by them not putting my headlight back properly it was shining up in the air. I took it back and they fixed that and the other bulb and knocked $50 off the bill. A few weeks ago I took it in for an oil change and they said based on my mileage I needed a coolant flush and brake fluid flush..I hesitated at first because of the experiences I’ve had in the past but agreed since they were going to have it in for the oil change anyhow, $290 later. When I picked my car up I was called within 10 minutes and asked to bring it back because there was fluid on the ground. I took it right back and the technician looked it over and said it was just residual fluid and everything was fine. Within a week I started hearing water gurgling under the dash, so I called Allen Turner and was told they were too busy on Monday mornings and I could bring it the next day and if there weren’t any service soon lights on or if it wasn’t running hot then it was okay to drive until the next day or so. And at that moment it wasn’t running hot, but within 10 minutes the temperature gauge was moving its way to HOT. So I took it in anyway and they looked it over said there was air in the lines from the coolant flush. They said they fixed the problem, by getting the air out and refilling the coolant. Two days later I heard the same noise and took it back and was told the water pump was bad. Now I had NO problems with my car until they did their service on it. This was now a $607 job. They offered to pay the labor($457) if I bought the parts($150), so I agreed since I really couldn’t drive it while it’s running hot. Then I get a call the morning they are to replace the water pump that my exhaust manifold is cracked. And again they offered to pay the labor on that if I would pay for the parts ($133)..still ended up paying $300 for this. So I went in for a $40 oil change and came out paying over $500. I agreed since I felt they caused the problems when they did the coolant flush on it. I then took it to an experienced mechanic to have it looked over because it is now making a new noise, whining almost when I accelerate or decelerate, sort of sounds like a diesel and I don’t trust Allen Turner. I do have to say that Marvin Hall was very helpful and understanding through this, and I do appreciate his help. I have been using the dealership for oil changes and maintenance services because I felt they were certified mechanics and knew what they were doing, but have since been proven otherwise. And apparently brake fluid flushing is not necessary. I would not recommend this dealership. I just don’t like being taken advantage of. More

I told Joe exactly what I wanted. Knowing that it was my very first car he definitely got it for me. He didn't send me off your another dealership or suggest a different car. On Saturday, we narrowed our choices down to a couple of vehicles. I did the inquiry thru the Internet. Even though it was way past lot closing, David emailed me back with additional information regarding the truck. Then on Sunday, even though the lot was closed, he set up a time (thru email) for me and my boyfriend to view the truck on Monday morning. I was so impressed with his willingness to work with us on our schedule. We did buy the truck which was an excellent value. We will buy our next vehicle from David! More
