I took my Jeep in due to a dragging brake and the service department completely misdiagnosed the issue. They claimed that the vehicle needed a new ABS system and were quoting $3,000 for the repair. I ended up purchasing the needed parts outside of Allen Samuels and took the vehicle to a local shop to get the work done. They took a look at the Jeep and told me that all I need is new brake hoses in the front (a $400 repair). Instead of recommending a common and cheap repair, Allen Samuels immediately jumped to a worst-case conclusion. If I had stuck with them, I would have been out thousands of dollars. I have since been refunded for the lazy diagnostic, but I am still out hundreds of dollars in restocking fees for parts that Allen Samuels said I needed. More

The sales advisor Brandon was great! He went out of his way to meet my needs and timeline. He was very communicative. The technician side was terrible. They diagnosed my check engine light as the module that controls the active shutters. I had already paid for a diesel engine oil change and was hesitant on spending $715 to change the module but I really wanted my check engine light off. I asked Brandon to still meet my deadline which he did great at accomplishing. He had to give me the unfortunate call that the module was not the fix. The technicians then diagnosed the whole active shutter assembly was the issue. Brandon asked if I would feel comfortable spending $850 to fix it and I declined. Once again he was great and still met my deadline. While I waited to pick my truck up I researched and found that this is a common issue. I found this out on the Internet forums rather than a ram certified technician. When I got home unplugged the air dam under the bumper and found the wire connector to be burnt and the motor to be burnt. The check engine light cleared and as of 4 days it has not came back since I myself cleared it. It is extremely unfortunate that I found out the issue from the internet rather than a certified technician. Also I feel cheated out of the $715 because it wasn’t the cause to begin with. More
