That do no immerse the tire in a tub, but instead spray it soapy water. Can’t find a leak that lets out around 1psi per week like that. And the did not have my brand/size tire in stock, even though it is what is on the cars they are currently selling. More
This deal was shady from the start. I reached out to with an internet lead and spoke to someone within an hour on a Saturday. He verified the car I wanted was on the lot and available I reached out to with an internet lead and spoke to someone within an hour on a Saturday. He verified the car I wanted was on the lot and available. We asked about price and market adjustments and he said the market adjustments had stopped at the start of the month. So we drove up to Baton Rouge from New Orleans and the car was supposedly "Just Sold" while we were driving there. Ok, that could happen but it seemed a little odd that no one reached out when they knew I was on the way. They were apologetic and tried to push me to another Pallisade ( the old Bait and Switch technique?). It was not the package or the color comb we wanted so we declined. I looked on the Hyundai USA website and it showed they had the same car being delivered in 2 days. So agreed to terms on the price and got the trade in value from used car sales manager Patrick W. Just needed to get the finance rate when the finance guy got in on Monday and we were all set to get the car when it was delivered. Once again, no mention of the "Market Adjustment". Here was a big red flag that should have made me think somethign was up, they asked for a $1k deposit to hold the card. I gave them my credit card and told them to run it. They took the card, and came back and said don't worry about it. Over the next 2 weeks, we were told the car was being delivered on 5 different dates, but it never arrived. Finally, on a Saturday night at 6pm, I got a text saying it was delivered with a photo. We drove up on Monday ready to purchase the car. We sat down with the finance guy and 3 things immediately stood out: 1) The VIN was not the same as the car that was supposed to be delivered and not in their inventory. 2) They lowered the trade value from what was agreed upon. 3) They added a market adjustment of $5,000 on top of the price we agreed. I questioned the finance guy who said "I only process with the numbers they give me". He countered by raising the trade in back to the original price and adding another $1,000. This was still $4,000 more than the price we agreed to. We said no thanks and went to leave. As we were walking out, the salesman came up and asked if we were able to work it out. I said no, and what happened to the deal we had. He said that once the Sales Manager, Chris S, got his hands on the deal Monday, he added the $5k market adjustment. I learned two things from dealing with All Star Automotive that I will never forget: 1) Get everything in writing. 2) Their sales tactics are dubious and unethical. Just a warning, but I will never do business with any of the All Star Automotive group dealerships. More
