Taylor Lambert Is Your Go-To Guy Taylor Lambert is the only positive interaction I had at Honda of Abilene. He was extremely helpful and responsive to my abundant inquiries, as well a Taylor Lambert is the only positive interaction I had at Honda of Abilene. He was extremely helpful and responsive to my abundant inquiries, as well as instrumental in resolving some outstanding issues. He was phenomenal and I can't praise him enough. Ownership would be well advised to have his attitude and work ethic implemented company-wide. However, be prepared for typical dealership tactics when dealing with "management" and other sales agents. I was lied to when a previous agent told me that the car has been on the lot for 4-6 weeks when at the time, upon later scrutinizing the Carfax, it was closer to 6 months. Also, upon offering a fair, albeit aggressive, price to purchase the vehicle, I was told by Daniel Radcliffe (slightly paraphrased) that, "a guy from [another part of Texas] is driving here today to with [$2,500 more than your offer.] I'll sell it to you for [$500 more than your offer] given your previous interest and communication." Even though I was prepared/expecting pushback from my offer, I would have actually respected an honest response rather than some contrived story. There is no doubt in my mind that if what Daniel had said were true, I would have been required to match that price to move forward with the deal. The car was an overbought loser with a manual transmission that they'd been trying to move for over 7 months by the time we closed. Full disclosure: I acquiesced to Daniel's asking price because the prior weekend pretty much the exact same car, less 23k miles, sold in a more favorable market for almost $9k more than what I paid. It was still a decent enough deal at $22k, even though at that price there were a couple of comparable deals nationwide. Speaking with Daniel afterward, I found him to be extremely obstinate. I was also not provided all the copies of my closing docs that were signed at closing. All that being said, I would happily work with Taylor Lambert again. I *think* I would also complete *this* unicorn deal again with Honda of Abilene, but do yourself a favor: do an internet search for "dirty dealership negotiation tactics" and just prepare yourself for purchasing a vehicle from any dealer, do your homework, comparison shop cars, and good luck. relays and fuses removed, failed to put back discovered relay and 40 amp fuse missing when air conditioner quite working after being serviced at dealership in May.
