While I am confident the Lead Service Manager did all he could to service and return my Dodge Ram as quickly as he could, the entire experience was far less than what I expected of the one Chrysler-Dodge De could to service and return my Dodge Ram as quickly as he could, the entire experience was far less than what I expected of the one Chrysler-Dodge Dealer in San Angelo. My AC quit working, take it to my service center, told I could drop it off to be evaluated in 3 weeks - in West Texas, in mid-July, 3wks. That's not service. That's a run-of-mill garage. When I droped my truck off to be evaluated, no word for over 3wks, sits in the back lot. The reason, "We simply don't have enough mechanics. We're training some, but they don't have Senior diagnostic experience." Again, another service inadequacy that cause a loyal Dodge owner to begin second guessing his recent purchase choice AND wondering if Ford, GMC, Chevy or Toyota are servicing their loyal customers likewise. Now, after 10 days of borrowing a relatives Toyota Avalone, the Dodge Service Manager arranges for me to have a rental. But upon the advice of my insurance agent, to avoid any damage claims that I might be exposed to, I now am paying $22. aday for rental car accident coverage, in addition to insurance on my Dodge that is sitting in a lot, waiting to even be looked at. Again, a service short coming. In the end, 30 more day of rental car insurance costs me $700. AND costs the dealership $1300. in rental fees. Not a winning strategy and an embarrassing story to recount to my truck driving friends who DON'T drive Dodges and advise me to switch brands. Once the blown out AC was evaluated, took another 10 days to get parts, install and deliver my truck back to me. All total, 63 days with a 2019 Ram that was "broke down". In the time the truck was an inconvenience & out of my hands to repair, I had made 2 truck & vehicle insurance payments. Makes bragging about Dodge something I won't be able to do for some time. As a professional with many years of corporate customer service experience, this entire matter could and should have been handled so much differently and to a MUCH higher standard. In San Angelo, Dodge Ram owners use to be a proud, loyal customer base. During this experience, I've heard many others say they love their Dodges, but CAN NOT rely or depend on All American Dodges' Service Dept. That is unfortunate. Abilene, is 75 miles away. Again, the Service Manager was doing what he could under the circumstances. I lay my criticism and diminished belief in the Dodge Dealership in San Angleo at the General Manger & Owners door; which I was never able to reach with two vmails & even came by to speak with, but was "out of town" at a corporate meeting in Dallas. If ever the GM or Owner wish to meet me face to face, as a loyal Dodge owner, I would be more than willing to offer my view points on how I would have prefered to "serviced". My prayer and hope is that my beautiful 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie will restore my faith in Dodge Ram like my 2005, driven proudly for 16 years, 225K miles did. And IF, I ever need service on this newer vehicle, I will have lengthy reasons to crow, shout and strut to other truck owners on how amazing Dodge's Service Dept was in quickly, efficently and unquestionably professionally handled my service needs. You asked my opinion. So there it is. Mack H. Fox San Angelo, Texas More
