To be honest, I feel like I have to beg them to really check my car when I bring it in. Days after I brought it to Alfa, I went to another private dealership and they found two service issues that Alfa di check my car when I bring it in. This was the 4th time I have brought my 2018 Giulia back to Alfa of Maple Shade for some kind of service -- one had been for a recall/update, another had been for regular servicing, and the third for wheel to Alfa of Maple Shade for some kind of service -- one had been for a recall/update, another had been for regular servicing, and the third for wheel alignment. I have always been appreciative of the guys in the Service Department (those with whom I've interfaced are Emil and Bruce), but have been irked by a sometimes heavy hit on my wallet. This time, my visit was an unalloyed joy (except for the 40 minute drive each way, which can't be helped). I called when my instrument display panel abruptly went dark. Emil granted me an appointment within 2 days of my call. I was 10 minutes out from home when the instrument panel suddenly came back to life, and I called Service to advise I no longer needed to bring the car in. Bruce warned it might recur and said that Alfa Romeo has issued a software update that ensures against such temperamental mood swings. So I continued on to Maple Shade. Bruce was warm and welcoming, and updated me on the slow progress of downloading the computer fix. The biggest surprise, however, was when he presented the bill: zero! (And Service had given the car a complimentary wash, to boot!) More
