Lack of Professionalism I would leave more than a 1 star review for Diesels Direct, however, General Manager Rick Shuba threw that straight out the window per our interaction I would leave more than a 1 star review for Diesels Direct, however, General Manager Rick Shuba threw that straight out the window per our interaction with him today. My husband had been looking at a truck there for about two weeks. This past Saturday, we decided to go in to test drive and talk pricing with Sales Employee, Jim Zabielski. Jim was great, allowing us to take a lengthy test drive, and sat down with us afterwards to run numbers, talk about our trade in, etc. We agreed to put a payment/hold on the truck that day, bring in our trade on Sunday, and complete the paperwork and final down payment on Monday. On Monday evening, we were offered $500 less for our trade in (not a problem) and sat with Finance Manager, Dawn Bell, for nearly an hour to sign paperwork, and pay. We left that night with all paperwork signed, warranty purchased, pricing agreed upon, etc. On Tuesday morning, my husband receives an email from Jim asking him to call regarding the paperwork. My husband calls Jim to be told that Diesels Direct would be "losing money on the sale", and wanted us to sign a NEW contract as someone had made a mistake due to the vehicle being listed at a higher price on their website. What repituable dealership does this?! Mistakes surely happen, however, this is just poor business practice. My husband and I decided to conference call General Manger Rick Shuba to politely advise that we wouldn't be signing a new contract, and were met with horrible customer service in return. Rick went on to yell, argue, talk over, and belittle us. He went ask far as to tell us that we "weren't the boss", "he wouldn't be bullied" and that "we weren't listening". Rick also told us that he had basically turned the situation over to some main office in Berea (which... I truly don't even think exists) and flat out REFUSED to provide us with contact information or numbers to anyone above him. Rick proceeded to HANG UP ON US. He was telling us that HE wasn't going to be bullied?! Really? What were they doing to us? Leaving us with money and a trade in tied up? Around ten minutes later, I received a call from another Finance Manager telling us that they'd be "honoring the deal". I advised that I was almost ready to walk away from the entire thing due to the way we were being treated, and it seems that's exactly what they were hoping for. We picked up the truck this evening. Jim apologized on Rick's behalf, telling us that he was "frustrated" however, it's just not acceptable. How completely unprofessional for someone in a management position to allow themselves to speak to a customer this way. I would have thought that Rick may approach us this evening with some type of apology himself, however, he was no where to be found, and I can't say I'm surprised. In no way, shape, or form should Rick be in a management position based on his behavior today. Buyers - educate yourselves and read the reviews. Read the responses from "management". His lack of professionalism is REAL, and that's ultimately who's behind the scenes here at Diesel Direct. More

Worth the 3 hour drive!!!! Ron was extremely helpful and patient when dealing with me through several days of answering questions and researching the truck I bought. There were Ron was extremely helpful and patient when dealing with me through several days of answering questions and researching the truck I bought. There were numerous calls, texts and e-mails prior to making the 3 hour drive to end up purchasing the truck I did. It was a very accurate description and they were great to deal with. I was very concerned it may be a wasted trip and I was quick to learn I had nothing to worry about. Dawn made the financing end fast, smooth and problem free. I would drive 3 hours again to buy a vehicle from this dealership. They understand what customer service is and how to exhibit professionalism. overall it was an awesome experience!!! More
Highly Recommend Jim, Great Experience! He made me feel very comfortable talking to him when I showed up. I test drove the truck he had waiting and it just didn't feel like the right one for me. I had another one I was looking at briefly online and I checked it out but wasn't sure I liked it yet until I test drove it, Jim helped me with my decision and I ended up with the second truck I looked at. He was honest about both trucks and let me know how each one would be in the long run by asking what I had planned for the truck. I was very happy with the final choice and all the time that was spent helping me decide. He even went on a scavenger hunt to find me a phone charger since my phone was about to die. We were able to chat and hold a conversation while waiting for paperwork to be done as well. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and helpful, even with me being the last one there that evening. More

Their competitive pricing was what brought us in for the test drive, but on arrival we were extremely pleased with how friendly, attentive and helpful the staff were. The Terrain was washed and clean on arrival, and after our test drive Stewart was super easy to work while hammering out all the details. He helped answer all of our questions and set us up to speak with Mike in finance who was able to get us closed on the sale and out the door in about 30 mins! We were in and out of the place in just over an hour and we got a great deal on a great car. Highly recommend this dealership and the legendary Stewart in particular! Make sure to ask him about Tatiana the dog if you stop by. More
Terrible absolutely disgusted We bought the truck on May 4th, and on the way home less than 6 hours at broke down. We've had to have it towed to a reputable Ford dealer to find out We bought the truck on May 4th, and on the way home less than 6 hours at broke down. We've had to have it towed to a reputable Ford dealer to find out what was wrong with it. After several attempts of trying to talk to someone at diesel direct and get them to make it right it has been a joke. The Ford dealer that we took the truck to says it needs a new transmission and a torque converter. The dealer sold us a truck with a 100% guaranteed on the truck. The truck is now been sitting for weeks at a Ford dealer because they want to go cheap and don't want to pay for the repairs. They also want us to tow it back at our cost. Everything has been put back on us period yet we bought a good truck we thought with a 100% guarantee and an extended warranty. Only to have the extended warranty that we bought have them come in and say that the transmission was bad from day one and they will not want it. I am sick and tired of the Run rounds back and forth. If you're a good dealership you step up and do the right things. And this is all I've asked I've asked them diesel direct to treat me the way they want to be treated the way they would treat their mother. If this is the way they would treat their mother I am disgusted with all of them. And God help them. When the truck broke down it could have been repaired that week and back to us and less than 5 days. But instead we're going on week 3 with no truck. I've had to do rentals and other things. I sent had to hire an attorney and this will be taken care of the legal way. I recently found out Ohio has a law that is very interesting. All I want is our truck take him back to the dealer and give us our money back. Or be good businessman and good men like they're supposed to and step up and pay the 4500 and some dollars plus all the towing plus all the aggravation and get this over with. If this is the way they treat their mother I cannot believe all I want is the same thing that anyone else would want. Make the vehicle like the way it's supposed to be. I've also since found out that it could not pass a Pennsylvania safety inspection whatsoever now we will have to spend more money to get the truck up to code for an inspection that we told was 100% a good truck. I would not recommend anybody buying anything from them not even a popsicle. They are not people of the word and they are not people that can be trusted at all. We have been put frustrated and put out so much on something it was supposed to be so simple and over and done with again like I said treat us the way you want to be treated.
