I took my car in for a weird noise & after I picked it up, we don’t even have success with jumping it. We even had to jump it in the parking lot at the dealership, and they told us it was just because they “had the battery out for a few days.” We had horrible service when we had the car in the shop, and they even lost my keys for a day. Now we are trying to have them bring it back in to look at it and we have had little to no response from dealership, or compensation for the plus $100 we paid to just have them just look at it. I am now stranded at a target. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. More

Its nice to have a family owned dealer that gives you the that home town feeling. I will recommend Alexandria Volkswagen to all my friends and family. More

My check engine light turned on one day, so I made an appointment for the following morning. Since I was at the garage and it had been nearly a year since my car's last service, I thought I may as well get its 60k mile service. Approving up to $575 to service it, I left confident that it would all be resolved. When I came back, they had charged me $349.29 just for the labor and $179.78 for parts. (FYI, this service is $149.29 more than what VW Sterling charges near Dulles). Despite authorizing a complete service, they charged an ADDITIONAL $129.90 JUST TO TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP which turned off the check engine light. This is pure robbery. It would be hard to believe that they did not see the error code of the yellow engine light while doing the $350 of labor just to change some oil, spark plugs, filters and rotate the tires. If none of the techs would think to tighten the gas cap (the first thing that turns up in a google search of "why is my engine light on", then this is utter incompetence and just a way to charge more money. I highly recommend only going to VW Sterling and working with Bob Derby. More

Alexandria. VW Service Department; Provides Great Service Went to the dealers who specialize in VW to diagnosis a service problem a non VW couldn't answer. "Oil pressure is Low" keep coming on every few minut Went to the dealers who specialize in VW to diagnosis a service problem a non VW couldn't answer. "Oil pressure is Low" keep coming on every few minutes, quite alarming to hear this loud beeping tell you to turn off your car oil pressure is low. Only to check & the oil is full. after wasting two hour and $$$ to be told "No codes found unable to duplicate in shop. Really two hour you worked on my car & could not diagnosis a serious issue and could not find anything. Less than 1 minute after leaving this annoying Low oil beeping is back, all the way for the next 20 miles. I felt they plug my car up to the reader whatever the machine told them made NO attempt to help me the Oil Pressure Low warning, was the reason I was there. I spoke with the manager Alfred a day later about my experience, and he was shocked and offer to help fix the car issue, but require having the car more than two hours. After he took over I got a loaner for 4 days and they fixed the problem & also other problems I was unaware of. My car is running amazing again. I rarely write any reviews but Alfred went above and beyond to help with my problems & now I have the highest appreciation for Alexandria VW. Many thanks to Alfred 7 the Service department. The whole experience from appointment making to waiting room to checkout out was seamless. They are so efficient that the appointment took exactly the estimated time even though I was late showing up. I am more than a satisfied customer. More
