The pre-owned Outback needed a few tweaks which were thoroughly addressed, but took a little longer than expected, so they gave me a nice loaner to drive so I didn't miss my sister's wedding. Quality service was also prevalent during the financing and vehicle registration processes. More

Dishonest, Manipulative and Coercive Sales Staff The sales staff at Alexandria Volkswagen are dishonest, manipulative and coercive. Katherine Carmon was my salesperson, and the price she charged my m The sales staff at Alexandria Volkswagen are dishonest, manipulative and coercive. Katherine Carmon was my salesperson, and the price she charged my mother and I for a car was much higher than the advertised price. Katherine Carmon didn’t review the deal paperwork with us, and she shuffled my mother directly to the finance office while I was briefly absent to use the restroom. Unfortunately, I didn’t thoroughly read all of the paperwork until later, because I felt rushed since we were already in front of the finance manager. I previously posted a negative review for Alexandria Volkswagen to express my displeasure about the way we were treated. Shortly after that, the sales manager named Andy Benone called to tell me that our license plates were ready for pickup. He then proceeded to tell me that he had read my negative review, and he was offended that I spoke badly about their sales and service departments. Then Andy Benone told me the dealership was private property, and he could charge me with trespassing to keep me from coming there, because of my negativity. It was evident that the sales manager was threatening to prevent me from picking up our license plates because I posted a negative review against Alexandria Volkswagen. So I told him I would remove the bad review, and that seemed to appease him. No one should have to be subjected to that kind of bullying from a car dealership, especially not from sales staff after you have given them your business and spent your hard earned money. The service department could be more technically competent in diagnosing and repairing issues (I still have two unresolved issues after repeated visits), but at least I have been treated with respect by the service staff. Also, the parts department is top notch, and Fred is the best. However, because of my very negative experiences with the sales department, I will NEVER visit Alexandria Volkswagen in the future for any services. Please use caution if you visit that dealership.
