I immediately showed them through my bank app that my credit rating was indeed above the minimum requirement and the finance manager’s response was to give me a rate of 2.49%. Seriously? Finding the 2017 VW Golf Alltrack S in white with a beige interior I immediately phoned this dealer. After a full explanation of pricing I decided to buy the car over the phone. The staff at Alexandria VW remained in touch with me from that point on. Just four days after my initial phone call I made the 250-mile trip from PA to VA in a rented car. From the moment that I walked into this dealer to the moment I drove home the people that I dealt with treated me with dignity, and respect. Bait and switch I purchased my first VW from Alexandria VW in 2001 and recently went there to look at new 2018 VW Atlas they listed on the web site for 29200. When we I purchased my first VW from Alexandria VW in 2001 and recently went there to look at new 2018 VW Atlas they listed on the web site for 29200. When we started to discuss numbers 29200 turned into 33650 final price. Apparently to get an advertised price you need to recently graduate from college, be in the military and work for a selected few "partnership" companies all at the same time. Plus they added a 'Paint protection" in addition to destination charge, tax and processing fee. This place has gone downhill from last time I was there, they advertise lower than other dealership prices which are not available to everyone to get people in the door and than try to make a sale. I will not support this and will take my business elsewhere. More
