This past weekend I bought my first ever, new car (never driven before me)! And thanks to Bernie, the entire process was great and low stress. The weekend before, my friend and I test drove 3 different cars (Nissan Rouge, Mazda CX5 and the Volkswagen Tiguan) and not only did I like the Tiguan best, but the dealership experience was the best at Volkswagen. The impression Bernie left on me played a part in me jumping more quickly into my research and confirming the Tiguan was what I wanted. When I called him to set up time on Sunday to come back and hopefully purchase the car, he remembered who I was and gave me tips on what to do before coming in that day. When I arrived, he walked right out (on time!), again remembered me and started the process right away. He had the car I told him I wanted and within only 2 back and forths was able to get me the price I was set on. No hidden agenda, no strong arming and no pressure. Not only did he get me the price/payment I needed but he also got me a great deal for my trade in! Once we agreed upon the numbers, the rest of the process took maybe 1 more hour - 3.5 hours total, not bad! Bernie also gave me a VW coffee mug he recently got from work, as I wanted to gift it to my father as a "thank you" for going on this purchase journey with me. Overall, I recommend Alexandria Volkswagen and Bernie to anyone out there needing a new car and are interested in a VW!...The only person we didn't have a great experience with was the woman we worked with for financing. Once I declined all the additional add-on coverages for the car, her personality did a 180 and she no longer showed any sort of respect or interest in my business. We signed the papers and parted ways. Fine by me, but not ideal nor very professional. More
