Last month I discovered I needed to buy a car in spite of the supply chain issue. The car I wanted, and true of all cars, was scarce and overpriced. I decided the best I could hope for was a straightforward dealer and an honest sales consultant. I found both when I visited Alexandria Hyundai in Virginia and was introduced to Charles Nguyen, a sales consultant. Unlike other dealerships there was no added markup from the MSRP (called market adjustment) and only cars actually on the lot were listed on the website. Charles was informative and helpful, convincing me this was the car for me without using pressure tactics. The color I wanted was not yet on the lot. Charles gave me no false promises, simply telling me the estimated arrival date. But as soon as it arrived, he called me. Although it was his day off, he met me at the dealer and worked to process the sale, staying late to complete it. He made everything as Covid safe as possible for me and his follow-up with license plates, etc has been fantastic. I decided to finance the car which also proved to be pressure-free, totally organized and informative. All in all it was the best car-buying experience I’ve had in a long time. I would definitely go to Alexandria Hyundai again and would request Charles. I also intend to go there for my car maintenance and repairs. More
I bought my car last year. The first salesman I had was EXTREMELY pushy so I left. I was able to get another salesman when I returned and he was better, though somewhat unengaged. I make an appointment, yet it takes 5 hours to do an oil change. THEN, when I need another oil change, they tell me they can't see me for THREE WEEKS! They seriously need to step up their game..... ...been here over 4 hours, no update nothing until I went and asked, only to find out my car hasn't been touched. They may get to it in about 30 minutes. After my buying experience here I should of known how bad service was going to be! Arrived at 9.20am for my 9.30am appointment. Was told to fill in a Dropbox form which was my first sign things weren’t going service was going to be! Arrived at 9.20am for my 9.30am appointment. The Dropbox form asked when I’d like the car, I said 11am which would give 1.5hrs seeing as though it was just the new car 3000 mile check. Went and got breakfast and walked around del Ray and went back at 11.20 and was told to stand aside and wait and someone would be with me. After 15 mins standing around waiting I was finally told that my car was not ready and they’d only just written it up a few minutes ago. I was also told that by dropping off a car they don’t give a time it will be ready, just that it will be ready at the end of the day. (Would of been nice to know that dropping it off, I would have asked for a loaner!) Absolutely abysmal service from a ‘service department’ Judging by the other reviews, management/owners don’t read these, nor care so I guess this won’t be any different! Do yourself a favor and go to Springfield or Fairfax! More

Years later, the car failing with a known Manufacturer problem, is how I met Kevin and his team. My car got towed there. BEST DAY EVER. Pure blessing. It is important for Car Owners to understand Dealerships are privately owned & are too often blamed for failures of the Manufacturer. This dealership, Owner & team stand with their customer. I purchased my gorgeous 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy in May 2021 and had the best car buying experience from any car dealer! My salesperson, Sam Jung, was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure I had to best car buying experience ever! Joon, Jae and Kwang (sales managers) gave me impeccable service and I highly recommend anyone looking for a new or preowned vehicle to stop by this dealership first. The sales process was fast, easy and transparent. I also think very highly of the dealer, Kevin Reilly. He instantly made me feel part of the “Hyundai family” while purchasing my new vehicle. Hats off to Alexandria Hyundai Genesis!!! More

The service dept at this dealer has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They don’t care about their customers or resolving issues for them. I bought Hyundai specifically for the warranty just to get the run around when it’s time for something to be fixed. I called 5 or more times asking to speak to someone regarding an issue and never heard back from anyone. When I reached out to Hyundai customer service they recommended I make an appt which I did. I bought the car in Augusta and it’s now November and it has yet to be resolved. The employees that work for the service dept are rude and they act like you are bothering them when you come in or ask question. They absolutely don’t care one bit about their customers. More
