Very Helpful after the sale! Purchased my second Subaru from Perry Mallias a few months ago for my daughter and we drove the Crosstrek to Cleveland OH for her internship at NASA w Purchased my second Subaru from Perry Mallias a few months ago for my daughter and we drove the Crosstrek to Cleveland OH for her internship at NASA well, 2 weeks in she lost keys. Went to Perry and he helped me through getting new set and stayed with me all the way till I was all set . Also followed up with 2 phone calls to house to make sure all was ok. Perry is a really great salesperson who will remember who you are after the sale and is very helpful . Just wanted to say THANK YOU for helping me here through that problem. Subaru #7 is on the road My first Subaru was a brand new 1980 sedan. The second was an '83 wagon. The first Subaru we purchased at Subaru of Wakefield was a 1990. We drove tha My first Subaru was a brand new 1980 sedan. The second was an '83 wagon. The first Subaru we purchased at Subaru of Wakefield was a 1990. We drove that car over 200,000 miles and sold it to my brother-in-law for a farm vehicle. The 2001 was "given up" to a used car dealer with 150,000 miles on the odometer. When it came time to purchase our 2011, John Cheshire was our go-to guy. He was straight forward, honest, not at all pushy and down to earth. We liked him very much. Shortly after our purchase, we found out that John had moved to Florida. Boo hoo. By the time the 2001 was ready for a new owner, I couldn't buy a used Subaru in Wakefield because they didn't have any, so I purchased the 2006 from another local dealer. Time to retire the 2006 - 120,000 miles on it as of now. We went back into the dealership and WOW! John is back! We would choose no other salesman at Subaru of Wakefield. I know many of the sales people have been at the dealership for many years, but we are comfortable with John. This time, I test drove 3 different models and, once again, chose the Outback. So, the 2017 Subaru is #7 in our family. Thank you John and thank you Subaru of Wakefield! More
Disappointed This is the second time I used this dealership. The sales process was fine, but after that I started having issues. The first issue is with Subaru off This is the second time I used this dealership. The sales process was fine, but after that I started having issues. The first issue is with Subaru offering a " garunteed" trade in program, when normal wear on a 2-year-old car disqualified it for the program. It put the dealership in the unhappy position of having to tell the customer that the program isn't great. I talked to the sales manager about not being happy about the experience. The second issue in some ways is outside the dealerships control, but I haven't been happy with the way they have responded. I got a check engine light after leaving the dealership with my brand new 2017 Forester Touring 2.0XT. Took it back to the service dept, but it seemed that all the mechanics had got an early start on the weekend (around 4 when they were open until 6) so there was no one to look at it. I left with a loaner car. On Tuesday morning the service department called to tell me the Engine Control Module was bad and needed to be replaced, which would take 3-5 days to get the part. At this point, I was pretty upset about getting a brand new car that immediately broke. Spoke with the sales rep who was very apologetic, and said he would have the sales manager call me back, since I was asking if I could have the sale reversed. This was around 10 am. Later in the morning I called and left a message with the manager, but I never got a call back. On Wednesday I tried sending an email and finally spoke to the manager. Apparently my voicemail must have accidentally been deleted. Both the sales and service managers said they were working with Subaru to try to get the part as quickly as possible. The part was in by Friday morning, and I left work early to pick it up (not sure why they didn't offer to bring it to me). On the way over I did as requested and filled the tank on the loaner car. The service team told me that they had put the part in, driven it for 45-60 minutes to make sure everything was all set. When i finally got back to my new car, as I was driving away I realized they hadn't bothered to top off the gas tank, and it was down a quarter tank. It may seem like a small thing, but on top of everything else it was very frustrating. I've had one call from the sales person to see how things are going, and two requests to consider revising my review. I think my husband got more follow up when he was in the previous month and didn't purchase a car. I did up the service rating to two stars as things were ultimately resolved, but I do not plan on returning. More
