I bought a used 2016 crosstrek here back in September 2020 and my salesperson was Christian Francois. On the day of, we looked at a few new and used vehicles, I had told her that the most important thing 2020 and my salesperson was Christian Francois. On the day of, we looked at a few new and used vehicles, I had told her that the most important things to me were trunk space, performance in snow, and ability to use gps and music. She assured me that the crosstrek is best in class in the snow and that Subaru STARLINK had all of the functionality that I was looking for but “just needed the right cord” (I wasn’t aware that I needed to bring an Apple cord with me so I didn’t have one at the time). The car drove well and made sense at the time and she pressured me into getting a deal done that day even though I had expressed concern that I wasn’t able to use STARLINK that day. But I went to a dealership because I was looking for an easier car buying experience and figured there must be some accountability so I signed on that day. I was originally supposed to take delivery on a Thursday or Friday but she called me the day before to say it wouldn’t be available until Saturday or Sunday, causing me to be late to an appointment I had that morning. As time went on, I discovered that I was lied to about two of the three things that I said were most important to me about the vehicle I bought: on-screen functionality and snow performance. Once I finally was able to connect and use STARLINK, it offered neither of the things that I wanted to use most (gps and spotify). Then, while driving in a snowstorm one day down a straight road less than 30 mph, the car had a nasty spin out that would have seriously injured me or someone else if there had been anyone else on the road. Recently when bringing my car in for routine 6 month service, I explored getting in to a newer model that would have the functionality I originally asked for. I had to explain my situation to 3 different sales staff members and finally Christian herself who, after first pretending that she remembered me and asked about my car, also pretended she didn’t remember anything from the day of selling me the car. Finally, a more senior employee reached out and their attempt to “resolve the problem” and “make sure I’m taken care of” was to offer me a trade up to a 2021 model for more money down and a laughably low valuation on the car that they sold me not 6 months and 4K miles prior. More

I wish zero star is an option. This dealership (Subaru of Wakefield, Mass) is terrible!!. They do not stand behind their business and they mislead the customers.
