I had an oil change, and a complementary check-up was also done. they found I needed a new air cleaner, and the battery had acid on top which needed cleaning. I had the air cleaner replaced but I decid also done. they found I needed a new air cleaner, and the battery had acid on top which needed cleaning. I had the air cleaner replaced but I decided to do the battery acid myself. After I got home, I found that I did not have time to work on the battery acid. I called a few days later and they were able to give me the same price as if I had it done when I had the olil change. When I brought my car in for cleaning the battery acid, I went over in detail with Peggy on exactly what they would do. I had wanted the battery removed to assure there was no acid under the battery. Peggy had the repairman check and he determined that there was no sign that battery acid got under the battery. I appreciate that Peggy had the repairman check and the service she gave me. But personally I thought that the battery should have been removed to check under the battery which I would have done if I did the work myself. More
Received e-mail offering the option of a trade in, since had vehicle in service department anyway stoped in to see what the offer was. Well, the offer was so good I walked out with or drove out with a New 2 had vehicle in service department anyway stoped in to see what the offer was. Well, the offer was so good I walked out with or drove out with a New 2024 Forester and it was not only the deal the staff was so great, very accommodating, courteous, just very nice to work with. This is my second Subaru. First one bought from here as well and had to same things to say about that experience as I'm saying about this one. Everyone works to get you what you want, so you can get the car you really want and that's a Subaru. I've always liked Subaru's their great automobiles so I'm content with my purchase its a great vehicle. More
I was reluctant to bring my 2021 Subaru Forester into Albany Subaru because I assumed it would expensive. Trying to save money I reached out to a local Subaru mechanic and they charged me $210 to diagnos Albany Subaru because I assumed it would expensive. Trying to save money I reached out to a local Subaru mechanic and they charged me $210 to diagnose my car’s issue plus a quote of $1400 to fix the actually issue which was a defective coolant bypass valve. Finally, I called Albany Subaru and they were able to fix AND diagnose my car for free because the part was covered under the extended warranty. Additionally, as a courtesy they inspected my car and noticed an oil leak caused by the idiots at Berkeley Jiffy Lube using an after market drain plug that didn’t fit. Anyway, I called Jiffy Lube as recommended by Subaru and that was also repaired for free! Special shout out to Alan Poon for taking care of my issue and communicating so friendly and transparent. More
