Went in for the first oil change on my brand new Toyota RAV4, they finished it in about 20 min. Went to collect my car and none of my info was correct, I had them fix the info on the invoice, the invoice s RAV4, they finished it in about 20 min. Went to collect my car and none of my info was correct, I had them fix the info on the invoice, the invoice stated my vehicle needed tires, breaks, and a battery. It’s brand new, and I work on cars for a living. I figured it was all markup nonsense. Took my car out of their service center, and proceeded to the grocery store. Came out from the grocery store to my car not starting. I checked the battery terminals, and they had been loosened to look like a dead battery. I tightened them and it started. Once I got home, I double checked their work, and come to find out, nothing was done, except losing up the battery. I know this because I mark my tires on the inside, and they weren’t rotated, my oil was a quart low and black, no fluids were topped off, and the air filter was still dirty. I will never recommend this shady place to anyone, and will forever keep people from making the same mistake I made to go to them. When Alamo Toyota was around, they were good, fair and honest. When they sold to Shottenkirk, they took a nose dive. I talked to some of the people that I knew from Alamo Toyota and they also felt the same way, this place isn’t good, and straight up practice illegal acts. I decided to give them another shot almost a year later, I had thought that maybe they have cleaned up their act. Went to purchase a car and said I would not do any deal that wasn’t through Toyota financial, and not to run my credit through anyone else. They said they understood and I waited. Started receiving non stop alerts about all these different companies they are running my credit through, I told them to stop and I was leaving, and that they have lost my business forever. I decided to go to boerne (fantastic dealership) and while on the lot, my credit was ran 22 more times, and had dropped my credit a total of 20 points from all the hard inquiries from shottenkirk griping I “wasted their time”. Unless you want an experience like this, stay away. They are nothing but shady. More
I was at the dealership yesterday after spending time at the hospital with my pet, and I received a call inviting me to come in and finalize the deal for the car I'd been working on. I took the time to go i the hospital with my pet, and I received a call inviting me to come in and finalize the deal for the car I'd been working on. I took the time to go in and sign the paperwork, given the circumstances I was in. However, out of nowhere, Cody, the general manager, called to inform me that the car I had signed for was no longer available. This is completely unacceptable. I had been negotiating for days to secure that specific car, and I expect the dealership to honor our agreement. Not only am I writing this review, but I will also be escalating this matter to Ethos HR because this behavior is beyond unprofessional. I signed for that specific car and invested significant time in this process, only to be told that they don’t want to sell it to me. I was never informed that the car was sold; it’s clear they are merely choosing not to follow through on the sale. The general manager should not be engaged in deceptive practices by claiming the car is sold when it is not, simply because they don’t want to complete the sale with me. I demand accountability and a resolution to this situation. More
Process of buying the car was quick only because I knew what I wanted. They fought me hard though saying they couldn’t take off dent protection, paint protection, and extended warranty. It wasn’t until I what I wanted. They fought me hard though saying they couldn’t take off dent protection, paint protection, and extended warranty. It wasn’t until I was going to go somewhere else they told me they could take those things off. Facilities were nice and lot is nice and clean but starting finance manager was not very people friendly and kind of rude. So when I bought car they set me up with a different finance manager. The main manager I believe who approached me before leaving was friendly. We closed the deal outside. More
Our Shottenkirk service advisor referred us to Tarrence. He was extremely friendly, fun, informative and definitely did not pressure us. He listened carefully to what was important to us and found the best options available. Buying a car is typically stressful because it is a large purchase with so many options, but Tarrence made it fun and comfortable. He shared our interests during the search for the right vehicle. He realized that the dealership did not have exactly what we wanted, but he found an option elsewhere that exceeded our expectations. He was training a new sales manager while working with us, and I hope that he acquires some of the same calm and cool attributes! More
They were willing and able to help us with all of our requests, which we sometimes not easy requests, which we sometimes not easy More
This dealer is advertising prices and hiding a $3,000+ added cost for their "VIP" package. Very deceptive. They have a fake price to get more leads essentially. Shady tactics and ridiculous add ons. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. More
Sales communication strategy left me with the feeling the bait and switch stereotype is alive and well. No follow up from sales person and even up to this day, which is now going on week 3 Manager promi bait and switch stereotype is alive and well. No follow up from sales person and even up to this day, which is now going on week 3 Manager promised updates on vehicle we were waiting on and still nothing from him either. The experience we had and multiple opportunities doesn’t deserve my time to jot down. But, we will not be return customers because the steps to make us a first time customer were never secured. More
Very efficient and courteous staff. Every thing from making an appointment to completing the job was done professionally and flew smoothly. Every thing from making an appointment to completing the job was done professionally and flew smoothly. More
