Where do I start? I bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder last weekend June 22,2024. I wasn’t even 20minutes down the road and the A/C broke. After having it assessed, the whole unit in the car (condenser, compressor, expansion valves) have to be replaced. Cheapest quote I got was $1500.l which is a quarter of what I paid for the vehicle. After having the vehicle state inspected by Firestone, the alignment is off, steering wheel is tilted, AND the front seat will not move backwards, which is motorized so the WHOLE SEAT has to be replaced, (pretty penny there too) the mechanic was surprised it passed state inspection. I asked if the vehicle was properly inspected prior to sale and they assured me it was. Obviously it was not if they can’t check a simple alignment. I called them on Saturday and unfortunately it was close to 5pm which is when they close, so I was assured I would get a call Monday morning. I got a text Monday morning from the salesman and he said he would see what they could do, but “they don’t have a crystal ball so they can’t predict when these things will happen.” So I asked for a copy of the maintenance report and he said he would have to get with the maintenance manager to get that for me. Did not get it. I text him back Tuesday saying I didn’t get it, he said he was out with personal issues, which I understand, but I don’t understand why I wasn’t passed off to someone higher knowing that I was upset about this. He said he would speak with his operation manager about the situation first thing in the morning. No call. I call Wednesday around 12 and asked to speak with the maintenance manager who said he could get the maintenance report for me and he will give me a call back. No call back. I call back again on Thursday around noon, have to leave a voice message, still no call back. I am stuck with a car that is undriveable and unsafe to drive. So that tells me A. Their maintenance team is incompetent because they can’t seem to catch something as simple as a bad alignment and B. They lie on the maintenance reports and state inspection (which again, they still won’t give me) I’m pretty sure that is also illegal. I’m having the car further inspected from top to bottom on Monday when I drop it off at a local mechanic shop who will work on my a/c, to see what is going to xxxx out on me next. Every time I touch the vehicle something else breaks. I highly doubt they are going to do anything to rectify this situation, and now I am stuck with a vehicle that they sold me knowingly has many issues and is unsafe to drive. Do not buy from here. They obviously do not care about their customers and have no problem doing shady business to make a sale. My mistake for not having the car checked out before buying it, I know, but I was naive enough to believe that they wouldn’t go as far as sell me a car that is unsafe and an absolute dumpster fire. Little things here and there I expected. Not all this. I figured they would give me the run around with rectifying the issues, but not calling me back and being dodgy about even speaking with me is absurd and absolutely unprofessional. You’d be better off lighting your money on fire than buying a vehicle from this dealership. And if you reply with some garbage like “you bought the car as is” I’m tracking, but that is still no excuse for selling cars that are unsafe and the fact that you can’t even give me a call back or the documentation I requested. Al West has the best service dept. I called yesterday because my rogue won’t not go into gear. I have to say this was one of the Best Vehicle purchasing experiences I’ve had in my life and the sales staff were the best. Cudos to Dustin my salesman and to Tom in financial depts. they are exceptional in experiences I’ve had in my life and the sales staff were the best. I’m soon to be 64 years old so I’ve bought several vehicles in my lifetime. And as before great work gentleman! I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at Al West Nissan in Rolla, Missouri. Oh and I am really liking this Nissan Frontier my first ever hope it meets my expectations. Thanks again to Dustin and Tom. More
