Whether purchasing new, or used, its buyer beware My car was in for an expensive repair and through it all the dealership & Service Manager left me with the impression that they could not get rid of m My car was in for an expensive repair and through it all the dealership & Service Manager left me with the impression that they could not get rid of me fast enough. Let’s start with the fact that I was provided with none of the courtesies or communication that are typical at any dealership. The repairs that were performed on the vehicle were not explained to me at the time of pick up. When my running car arrived the first thing I noticed was that the car was not washed. Then I entered my vehicle, the interior smelled of grease/oil badly. Disappointed I drove away to find lights on my dashboard were on (ABS, Stability Control, low tire pressure) and a warning on my dash stated I had 15 lbs. of tire pressure in my right front tire. I put air in the tire, took it to a quarter wash, and picked up a few air fresheners at the gas station. The next day my car wouldn’t start…..dead battery…... If the dealership had any issues with the battery, I would have appreciated a courtesy notification. On the test drive if they encountered warning lights on the dash board I would expect a courtesy notification as to why the lights were on. They weren’t on when I took it to them…… Lastly, is it too much to ask for a service technician to put air in a tire when a customer’s car is in for service? All of this leads me to believe that: 1. Al Serra’s service department does not care about its customers 2. An Al Serra technician did not test drive my vehicle 3. Al Serra is too cheap to extend a single courtesy to their customers 4. Al Serra is too focused on profit to communicate the condition of their customers vehicle when they return it to them. I have purchased 3 vehicles through Al Serra and I wish I would have known this earlier. None of the above provides ample comfort when making a financial commitment the size of purchasing a new vehicle and should serve as a warning to potential customers of the Al Serra Auto Plaza. Whether purchasing new, or used, buyer beware. You may be better served at trustworthy dealership, or at least a dealership who appreciates its customers. More
