I have reached out to these folks for "over the phone" diagnostics, advice, coordination of scheduling and have always received attention to my needs regarding the care and safety of what is a significant investment, my family's daily driver(s). The commercial service team has worked with my employer to service fleet vehicles including Ford, Chevy and Dodge for several years now and I have never experienced the need for a return with the same complaint. We helped my mother in law purchase a Ford Taurus, we purchased a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and our last purchase was a Lincoln MKX. Before we purchased the above vehicles, we talked to Steve Harrell. We wanted his thoughts on these vehicles and see if they would meet our needs and my mother in law’s needs. We always returned to Koon’s for all service work and one time when someone backed into the Taurus we took it to Koon’s Body shop after Steve saw the damage. We were and are loyal to Steve Harrell! I first met Steve back in the mid-nineties when I worked for Enterprise Rent a Car. I always watched how he dealt with his clients and how comfortable he made them feel about the work that needed to be done. I never heard one client ever speak a negative word about Steve. In most cases, they were saying how thankful they were for his time and his honesty. They never felt like they were being sold something they felt like they were making a purchase. Service writers are very much like car salesman the trust level is always in question. They have a quota and you never know if what they are saying is true. The leadership is always doing different promotions to “upsell” and in my opinion those are just dishonest tactics to do business and make a few extra dollars. When we found out Steve had left Koon’s Ford to say I panicked would be an understatement. We had to leave the Taurus with a new service writer. That was the most uncomfortable thing we had done in a while. He starts quoting all these prices before the car had been looked at. We were never so happy to get the car back. During that event, we found out Steve had transferred to Al Packer which was much closer to his home. Koon’s is maybe 10 – 15 minutes from our home and Al Packer is easily 45 minutes from our home. We have been to Al Packer now twice and it has been truly amazing. Yes, Al Packer is a nice place but the reason we drive there is because of the trust and respect we have for Steve. During our last visit, we started talking to a lady in the waiting room near the dealership. She was also having her car serviced and we both bragged on Steve and told her how we ended up at Al Packer. She pulled out her phone and wanted us to spell his name so the next time she needed service she could ask for him. Steve Harrell is a man of honor and he can be trusted. More

I brought the car back in and thanks to Paul Mox and the service team the removed some of the rust that had accumulated and fixed the problem, all at no charge. The car is riding great now. More

They quality of the service and people win over every time. Some dealership are out for a lot of money & pressure you for repairs that might not immediately need to done for another year. Call it in drop it off and pick it up. More
