The next day I was called a On March 11, 2016 my Toyota Prius died while driving home. It was towed to AL HENDRICKSON TOYOTA, Coconut Creek, Florida. The next day I was called and told that the driver’s instrument panel COMBINATION METER COMPUTER, part # 83291-47360-RP, needed to be replaced. I gave verbal authorization to replace ONLY the Combination Meter Computer, to Roger Sinclair, the service advisor, and I definitively DECLINED ALL THE OTHER WORK he suggested. After 3 long weeks the car was finished and I took it home (Combination Meter Computer replacement is a 3-DAY JOB according to Toyota’s own literature: POL12-05). At home I keep a log of repairs. When I went to enter the invoice details, I noticed that there WERE TWO ADDITIONAL LINE ITEMS under the parts section, IN ADDITION TO the COMBINATION METER COMPUTER: ** Part # 55511-47060-C0 GLOVE BOX DOOR $114.45+tax (associated labor not listed) ** Part # 55670-47060 AIR VENTILATION GRILL $68.25+tax (associated labor not listed) ** Toyota’s own literature (POL12-05) re: replacement parts, lists only one part: “Combination Meter Computer, part # 83291-47360-RP”. The 2 parts above DO NOT appear anywhere on the parts list. WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION, the glove box door & air vent grill were replaced. I was NEVER asked about replacing either item, and hence, I NEVER AUTHORIZED replacing them. Furthermore, the “new” glove compartment door and air vent grille are not “new” or “replaced” at all. My car’s interior has all the usual “wear & tear” of a car that has car-pooled kids and transported pets. These “new” parts have all the same identical scratches, scraps, and scuff marks in all the same exact places, as the existing parts that AL HENDRICKSON TOYOTA claims to have “replaced”. As stated above, I DID NOT request, and I DID NOT authorize these parts, but if I had, I would certainly expect them to actually BE NEW, if I was being charged for new parts. I have attempted to obtain an answer from Roger Sinclair (advisor) about the unauthorized installation of the unauthorized parts. I have not been successful in obtaining one. More
Went in to have a handle replaced. waited an hour and a half I went to have an inside handle replaced. After an you and a half I was taken back to the garage . They claimed my radiator needed to be replaced and I went to have an inside handle replaced. After an you and a half I was taken back to the garage . They claimed my radiator needed to be replaced and it would cost over $ 1 000.00 for the total repairs needed. My car was running fine and was not overheating. I said can you just fix the handle? He never disclosed they didn't have a replacement in stock and it would have to be ordered. When I didn't agree he started to lower the cost and offered me a rental car. I said just give me my car. I went elsewhere. It cost me $413.00 More

Once I received the car after complaining about taking so long, they finally pulled my car around and found that my remote (key fob) was damaged. Was not damaged when I brought it in and their only excuse was it was old and they would not replace it. It may be old but it wasn't damaged when I brought it in. They do not care that they are losing a customer since I'm only one person among many. So if you bring your car in and they break something forget about them fixing it, as I stated above, you're just one person of many that come there and they know that. Also no, they will not do whatever it takes to make you happy. However the service person Jarret Elder I was dealing with was respectful and trying to help even though he could not make the call on replacing the part. More

After the service, I drove the car home and I heard a noise coming from underneath the car which wasn't there before the service. I can hear the noise whenever I drive over a speed bump or a bumpy road. I called them back and they asked me to bring the car back, they checked the noise and they said it will cost me $1600 to fix it. The service advisor guy was named Shedrick Anderson stated that the noise happened because they put the car on the jack to rotate the tires that's what caused the noise, he said it's very common when the car goes up on the jack, which is a lie because I never had that before. Plus, I shouldn't be responsible for their incompetence. He said to fix it will cost me $1600. Al Hendrickson Toyota is the worst car dealership to have business with. They used all kind of unfair tactics to rip customers off. I never trusted them from the beginning. I shared this experience with many people who used to bring their cars there for service and they experienced the same treatment. Please don't have any business with them because all they see is making money by using illegal practices. INTEGRITY, HONESTY and FAIRNESS are very important for a business, However, Al Hendrickson Toyota doesn't practice these core values. Please, stay away from doing business with them. More
Horrible Today was my first time getting my oil change done at this dealership (I usually go to the Toyota dealership in Deerfield). My appointment was at 1:0 Today was my first time getting my oil change done at this dealership (I usually go to the Toyota dealership in Deerfield). My appointment was at 1:00 and I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. Three hours later I went to the desk to see if my car would be done soon. I have six week old baby who I am nursing and I needed to get home. My oil change was finished but no one had notified me. When I was presented with my car after three hours, it was dirty and not vacuumed. I asked the boy why it hadn't been washed an he said I had to request it. Are you kidding me? I am disgusted that first of all I had to wait three hours for an oil change and then I was presented with a dirty car. I will NEVER go to this dealership again I am disgusted. More
Al HendricksonToyota overcharged with hidden "fees" When I asked the service rep about the cost of balancing 4 tires, I was told it was "$49.99". I wasn't told that was just for labor and that Al Hendr When I asked the service rep about the cost of balancing 4 tires, I was told it was "$49.99". I wasn't told that was just for labor and that Al Hendrickson Toyota was going to add another $6.00 for the wheel weights. Who does that? Not any other dealer I've dealt with. Deceptive, dishonest.. Then Al Hendrickson Toyota charged me $9.57 for "shop supplies"! Exactly what "shop supplies" am I paying for that weren't covered under the 2-year Toyota maintenance? And another $4.10 for "hazardous disposal"? So this $49.99 4-wheel balance, which the tech said was a "good deal", ended up costing $64.65. Not a "good deal", I say. All they did was spin-balance the tires (that they already had off for rotation under the free 2-year maintenance coverage and put wheel weights on where needed. I filed a dispute with my credit card company about Al Hendrickson Toyota overcharging me. I did so only after giving both the service rep and Al Hendrickson Jr., the owner, time to respond to phone calls and emails to address my complaint. No one from the dealership returned by emails or phone calls and my credit card company then issued a refund of the overcharge. If that weren't enough, the shop didn't wash the car as promised this time. Last time they said they were too busy. There were finger marks and grease all over my Camry XLE's expensive wheels from the rebalance. What business can afford to drive customers away in today's competitive market? That $20.00 over charge will mean I won't return to Al Hendrickson Toyota for any more service OR subsequent car purchases. How much will that cost them over the years? When a business pleases a customer, the customer tells on average about 20 people in his/her circle of influence. Today, on social media, customers' negative reviews tell hundreds or thousands of negative experiences and they tell others. A sale depends on three factors: You have to want/need the product; you have to like the company, and you have to trust the company rep and its management. I'd issue no star if possible. More
Worst Service Dept Ever Encountered I own a Jaguar, a Toyota, a Lexus, and a Hyundai. In general, I have my cars serviced at the dealership where I purchased my car. I have now gone to A I own a Jaguar, a Toyota, a Lexus, and a Hyundai. In general, I have my cars serviced at the dealership where I purchased my car. I have now gone to Al Hendrickson service 3 times and I will never ever step foot in there again. Coconut Creek Hyundai is great and JM Lexus and Alpine Jaguar are the best there is when it comes to treating customers like they care and value your business. Al Hendrickson service is the worst of the worst. My 88 year old mom waited 2 3/4 hours for an oil change! They literally told her that she should take her business elsewhere if she didn't like it. Today, I decided to accompany my mom as she needs to have another key made. Chris was short and rude and said it would take a minimum of 1 1/2 hours to make a key. The cost of $118 for just the key (not a remote) seemed pretty outrageous too but it was his condescending and rude attitude that made me leave. Al Hendrickson needs to clean house and totally reevaluate how it wants customers to feel. More
