I recently took my 2019 Camry in for regular service, oil change. They called me and told me I needed #1 Economy front brake pads resurfacing front brake rotors. Rotors are glazed and have deep groves. #2 B change. They called me and told me I needed #1 Economy front brake pads resurfacing front brake rotors. Rotors are glazed and have deep groves. #2 Brake fluid exchange. #3 ALL drive belts need to be replaced. #4 3 part Induction service. And gave me a quote of $925.37. When I said just do the oil change. I was told, "You mean you are going to drive this car out knowing it needs brakes" i said yes. Took my car directly to my, 5 star repair, shop that I have been dealing with for 40 year + years, (after my warrentee expired) had it checked out and was told everything checked out fine. Still had at least 50% left on brake pads. To add insult to injury, that afternoon got a call from one of their salesman asking me if I wanted to upgrade my car as they have some great deals going on. WHAT A SCAM. Neadless to say I won't be going back. BEWARE! PS: Oil change before was given an estimate for $397 which MY repair shop said I only needed 1 minor thing that cost me $179.
