Aggressive and deceptive I went in looking to buy a car that I saw listed online at 16,000. I even called the day before to confirm that was the price. And I called in our ahead to let them know I was coming in to test drive it. It took them 25 minutes just to locate the car from when I got there, and I walked around in the lot with the sales man for 10 minutes before I got tired of walking and looking for a car I gave it a test drive and it was kind of dirty on the inside. I get that they don't detail every car until it's going to be sold, but it just didn't look professional. Jen when I sat down with the financing officer she was oddly aggressive towards me and defensive about the fact that he lied on the website about the price. See-through on $2000 in dealer fees, and charged $800 for nitrogen. It was just a bunch of fees made up to raise the price and when I asked why when it was listed for a lower price, she said and I quote " I have to find a way to get you in the door" which I said was a bait and switch tactic. xxxx he got defensive and said in the FinePrint it listed these fees and I said that was deceptive and he got more defensive. He also told me I wasn't the only guy to drive an hour to look at a car, implying it wasn't a big deal for me to just walk away, and when I told him I was fine cash he said " well that makes me want to do a deal even less". I went in there looking to buy a car for a price I agreed on over the phone, only to have him on professional salesman struggle to find the car, and a financing officer Berate me. Jay will brag about being high volume to intimidate you, but just walk away from here and go to someone who's going to at least be honest More

We brought the 2016 Corolla to Hendrickson and was lucky enough to have Ken Bergmann as a service rep. After checking and re-checking the vehicle, Ken re-assured us that there was no concern and the vehicle was safe to drive. Ken did the same safety check my husband did and of course I didn't take my husband's word for it; but I took Ken's. Since I can't wrap my son or his Corolla in bubble wrap for the rest of his life, I know I can count on Ken to be honest regarding the vehicle's evaluation/condition. You can't count on anything better than that. Another independent location tried to sell us an expensive replacement. Not only did I save money but Hendrickson's will be the dealership we go to first, even though we didn't get our Toyotas from them. More

Al Hendrickson Toyota listed four 2016 Renegade Limiteds with 21K to 30K miles on their website for $14,977. I called and spoke with Jesse Wade, explained I'm from Charleston, SC and am a cash buyer. I'd be flying in and driving a vehicle back. Through that initial talk with Jesse, who then put on the phone with her manager Benjamin Shamsizadeh, it sounded like we would be able to do business together. I explained I'd need to get an "out the door" price so I could get a wire transfer or cashiers check. To which they were going to confirm that "out the door" price with their finance manager while I booked my plane ticket. Once I booked my ticket, suddenly I couldn't get Jesse or Ben to answer via text, email or phone for two days. I called back to the dealership's main phone line and got Mark who provided me with straight-forward pricing on the Renegade, which was going to be "about $19,000". I expressed to him that I appreciated his time, his honesty and professionalism in answering my questions. Unfortunately due to your company's baiting pricing policies of $4,000 in hidden fees, I will not be doing business with Al Hendrickson Toyota. Fortunately, JetBlue rescheduled my flight which provided me an opening for a full refund. I was able to find and purchase a 2016 Renegade Limited with 28K miles for $16,990 (advertised price plus taxes and tag) for a total of $17,336 the following day with zero haggle by another dealer. Do not do business with Al Hendrickson Toyota. Mark, go to another respectable dealership where your honesty matches the company's. More
