Bought a used SUV here in 08/2010. The sales rep was quite friendly to work with. After test drive, we went inside so he could get a price for me. His boss wrote a price on a blank sales offer form. I s quite friendly to work with. After test drive, we went inside so he could get a price for me. His boss wrote a price on a blank sales offer form. I said I would have to think about it. When I was going to leave, the boss said...if you buy it today, we'll take off the $1,000 dealer fee (which was added in original price offer). I said OK to this new price, and that I just have to go out to my car and confirm with my wife that she is happy with this SUV before signing. I was outside about three minutes, my wife walked over to the SUV and was obviously quite happy with it. Unfortunately, the sales team was watching out the window. When I went back in to sign, they re-applied the extra $1,000, simply stating, sorry, we made a mistake and our manager says we have to charge the fee. My gut instinct was that I should just leave, but outside I could see my wife still happily looking over her new SUV. I grudgingly agreed to the extra fee, after all, what's 27K as opposed to 26K when marital bliss is at stake? It was then that the real fleecing began. I was taken to the office to sign the paperwork. I was very expicit in my instructions that I wanted no extra add-ons, no matter how "good" they are - detailing, warranties, autoclub, etc. When I got home, I realized that I had been over charged with extra fees adding into the thousands. There was even an extra $1000 added from thin air, with no explanation at all. When I called them about it, they said it was required insurance by the bank in order to get the best interest rate. I called the bank to complain, and they said that I was given false information and they require no such thing. ANYWAY, after several calls to various places, I was finally able to get all the extras refunded (except the $1000 dealer fee). Which is why I was still able to rate the price as good. However, I would not recommend doing business here. More

I recommend serious buyers to contact Erik Coxwell at AlHendrickson. Having spoken with numerous sales representatives, I found him refreshing. He was very straightforward, responsive and thoughtful. Went in for a routine oil change and was quoted a very high price for new parts. After explaining that I wasn't interested because many of the parts were available elsewhere for 50-75% as much, service ma high price for new parts. After explaining that I wasn't interested because many of the parts were available elsewhere for 50-75% as much, service manager (Randy Perlman) became rude and argumentative. Would not recommend dealing with these guys. More
(05/2010) Went in for a "buy 3, get 1 free" tire deal. Service advisor (Randy Perlman) actually tried to charge me for the fourth tire. Had to argue with him to get the price of the fourth tire removed from the invoice. He also did not include the $80 alignment in the original "everything" price he quoted on the phone. The original quote was only $20 more expensive than Tire Kingdom (which did include the alignment), which is why I took it to the dealer. Next time I'll get something in writing. (08/2010) Went in for scheduled service, but also had to take care of the accelerator pedal recall issue. Service advisor (Steven Ruth) actually charged me $150 for the recall work. He also offered me a "complimentary" wash and vacuum, and then proceeded to charge me $15 for it. It even said "complimentary" on the invoice -- go figure. Al Hendrickson used to have decent service 2-3 years ago. I think the bad economy is driving management to hire service advisors who will do whatever it takes to keep the cash flow coming in. I won't be going back to Al Hendrickson for anything in the future. More

First of all, if you're not working with an out-the-door price, forget buying a car. Any dealer will chew you alive with hidden additional fees on top of the taxes, tags. Al Hendrickson Toyota takes the price, forget buying a car. Any dealer will chew you alive with hidden additional fees on top of the taxes, tags. Al Hendrickson Toyota takes the chewing one step further. They toss out the bait and swear up and down that they will match anyone's OTD price just to get you in the door. All they want to do is get you in the door. Upon arriving, they're like vultures at the steps with a fake smile. Not a good start. Then they'll ignore what they had previously sworn to do...match the price. Typical sales tactic and a bad lie. I walked out on them after over an hour of being passed around from person to person. Truly pathetic customer service. What a scam. Avoid Al Hendrickson Toyota at all costs. More
Al Hendrickson is the worst car dealership in Florida. They will SAY anything to you to make you buy their cars. But they will never provide anything in WRITING. I was duped by them when I purchased a 20 They will SAY anything to you to make you buy their cars. But they will never provide anything in WRITING. I was duped by them when I purchased a 2010 Toyota Corolla. They offered me a 9.99% APR and so I bought the car from them after they made me wait in their office for over 8 hours haggling over prices. Then after 2 weeks they call and ask me to come back and tell me that now the APR is 13.99% and that they will take back the car unless I sign the new contract. They waited for the last day to tell me that the bank had increased my APR. They sat over the bank letter for 10 days and informed me on the last day to come in and make a decision. It was a sunday so I couldn't even rent a car someplace and give them back their stupid corolla. All their finance and sales managers are rude and liars. It amazes me how they have stayed in business this long duping people. Please do not get a car from them, they will dupe you, leave you with no peace of mind, insult you and make getting a new car a horrifying experience. More
I am 47 and I have bought many (close to 20) new cars in my life. My experience at Al Hendrickson is by far the worst. These culture at this dealership is that of the ultimate snake in the grass, low lif my life. My experience at Al Hendrickson is by far the worst. These culture at this dealership is that of the ultimate snake in the grass, low life car salesmen. I should have known as soon as I pulled up and saw the sale reps out front hovering for a customer, They are not allowed in the dealership unless with a customer. These guys pulled out every trick in the book, every sneaky underhanded trick I have ever seen. (By the way I am in sales as well and can pick up on this stuff). If it wasn't for the aggressively low lease payment I would have walked out the second time. When I walked out the first they called me back to guarantee me they could reach my number and when I went back in they changed their tune. They can not be trusted. Is is all led up by the "master manipulator" VP of sales in the bull pen. He is the one barking orders to the sales pukes over the intercom. You cant miss him he is the one with the shaved head and goat-tee resembling satin "only the horns are missing". Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Al Hendrickson. This place is the bottom of the barrel. I have a sick feeling ever since I left there, it was a really bad experience. More
