He was very professional and respectful considering all of our questions etc. Erik, Wes and Dave were all very forthright and helpful. We will definitely return to Al Hendrickson for our next purchase. For us, unlike our past conventional car buying experience, this "online experience" was painless and a real pleasure! Thank you, Erik, for working with us to make that possible! More
Went in to look at a 2011 GMC truck on THEIR website for $18,999. Only wanted to give $8,000 for a Grand Prix CarMax offered $12,000 for. Without a trade, the cash price jumped to over $22k after tacking $18,999. Only wanted to give $8,000 for a Grand Prix CarMax offered $12,000 for. Without a trade, the cash price jumped to over $22k after tacking on $1000 fee for this and a $600 fee for that etc. don't let their low advertised prices fool you! More
Terrible experience. We found a vehicle on Autotrader and when we went to look at it, our salesman told us "mid-twenties" (the same as what was on Autotrader). After he went inside to get the keys for a test drive, he said he spoke with his sales manager and it is actually listed at $31,000. We showed them what was on Autotrader and they immediately changed their story. After deciding to try to make a deal, the sales manager flat out told us that they listed it that low to get us to come look at it and then hoped we wouldn't want it. They would not move on the listed price AT ALL. We left and, after they called and said they'd give us more for our trade-in and promising that it would not be more than what we were approved for, we drove back to try to make a deal again. After they tacked on a $294 "nitrogen tire fill fee" and a $999 "dealer fee" and other ridiculous fees that they refused to remove, it was over $5000 more than what we agreed to over the phone. These people will lie to you and cheat you any way they possibly can. More
I went to buy a used car, the sales guy tried hard to please us. But as soon that we mention that we intend to pay with cash. The deminer change and the manager was no longer as helpful. please us. First and foremost, they listened to what I had to say and figured out a good way to get me in a new leased car that I was able to afford with some amenities. Bought a used 2010 Prius so my experience and advice is based on that. Car they had advertised online did not match up with what they showed me. Actual car for the price was scratched up and both bumpers based on that. Car they had advertised online did not match up with what they showed me. Actual car for the price was scratched up and both bumpers were damaged. They advertise (falsely) to get you to the lot and admitted as much. They used pretty much every used car dealer cliche; teaming up on you, withholding price and terms, "don't worry, we'll take care of you". I wound up buying a car from them but it was an unpleasant experience. Some tips if you go there. 1) Bring your own team for support or have someone you have to call that makes the decisions. 2) If you want something done to your car (tinting, scratches fixed, etc) get it done before you buy and take the car home. They have no incentive to help you once it's done. 3) If you're financing check the rates first at your bank or other source so you have something to compare it with their rates. 4) If you purchase an additional warranty ask what your options are for length of term and coverage. They will make it sound like you have only one option, the expensive one. You don't have to get anything. 5) Have them print out the Carfax, and NADA retail and wholesale value so you can see the if the car has been in any accidents and to see how great a "deal" they are giving you. 6) Don't let them pressure you into anything. The deal will there tomorrow, even though they say it won't be. It wasn't until I walked away that they gave me what I wanted. They need you more than you need them. More
