The experience was easy. They are upfront and dont play no games. The large inventory made it easy to choose. We have purchased many vehicles over the years and arent the easiest, But this had to be the be no games. The large inventory made it easy to choose. Best experience ever. Incredibly thorough, no typical gamesmanship, great selection, very straight-up, incredibly efficient, everyone is very friendly. Not looking for a transaction, but a relationship. gamesmanship, great selection, very straight-up, incredibly efficient, everyone is very friendly. Not looking for a transaction, but a relationship. Had been working on this deal with other dealers for quite some time, most of which would have been saved if I started with Akins in Winder. Travis, Rick, finance...all phenomenal. Even made a side purchase in parts...again, phenomenal. Took all the time needed to answer all questions on a relatively small transaction. Highly sensitive to my time constraints and my transportation needs, without being pushy due to end-of-year traffic. Mr. Akin should be proud of his team and his delaership. Looking forward to being back for service and additional sales. More
Found what I wanted through autotrader.com a 2011 Ford Mustang. Steve was able to work the price down somewhat and gave me more on my trade in than I was expecting. We were able to work out everything by Mustang. Steve was able to work the price down somewhat and gave me more on my trade in than I was expecting. We were able to work out everything by phone because I lived 2 and a half hours from Winder. Once we arrived he did not try to change the price of the car or trade in value after the long drive. Process was fast and very easy even though we came late in the day and they were clearly busy. Left feeling good and would recommend this dealer to anyone. More
I can't imagine a more AWFULsales experience. First of all, we told the sales person, Stan, what we were looking for and how much we were willing to spend (a used F250, preferrably diesel, in the $12k and all, we told the sales person, Stan, what we were looking for and how much we were willing to spend (a used F250, preferrably diesel, in the $12k and under range). He said he had several in stock that would be around that price and for us to come out and see- well, after test driving a vehicle and deciding that was the one we wanted to go with, we later found that the price on the vehicle was nearly twice what we had advised was in our budget...The second issue was that when he ran my credit application, it was rejected- I still don't completely understand why, but he could not explain that to me and didn't bother. He basically sent us away and refused to answer any further questions or our requests to please JUST WORK WITH US. At no point did he even bother to ask how much we had available in cash, and in the end, we ended us paying for our vehicle at a different dealership in cash. I begged Stan to please just call me back, to tell me how much we needed to put down/ pay in full, to see if there were other vehicles on the lot we could look at, and he just refused to return my calls or respond to my emails. I guess he thought that I just wasn't worth talking to....Definetly the worst sales experience I've ever had, but in the end I guess I'm glad we went elsewhere. We found almost the exact same vehicle for less than half what they asked for there, were approved for credit, but decided to pay in cash anyway to save on interests, so it all worked out in the end :-) More
