Most of the vehicles we have had during our married life together were purchased through individuals, although a few were purchased used at dealerships. I must say that until our purchase of a new 2013 Ford Escape through Akins Ford we had a very negative view of dealerships in general. I personally never felt as if I got a "good deal". Let me state for the record that Mr. Richard Dove and Mr. Matt Tanner are huge assets to the Akins organization in my opinion as they treated us with the customer service that I try to give my own customers in my business. Many times in life we all make transactions here or there and just get "run of the mill" or "minimal" service. I like to let it be known when I see exceptional service such as what we experienced with Richard and also with Matt Tanner in the finance department. It is very obvious that your organization is well managed and holds a high degree of integrity. We are well pleased not only with our new Escape but with the overall experience as a "good deal". I stopped in last weekend to look at Akins' jeep inventory. Richard Dove came out and took a great deal of time showing us around the inventory and answering questions. Just a super-friendly guy. I made my decision that day that I definitely wanted to buy from this dealership. So earlier this week, I went online to do a pre-qualification and Woody Sowder contacted me and was very helpful with the credit process. I stopped by to see him Saturday afternoon and he made sure I was thorough in finding just the jeep for me. What a wonderful and genuine guy! The entire purchasing process went so smoothly, in and out with a new jeep in just a little over 2 hours. Everyone at the dealership was so nice and personable, everyone smiled and said hello, and my fiance and I felt very welcome! He and I were talking about the contrast in the atmosphere there to most dealerships we had visited in the past. We were both VERY impressed. We finished out the financing process with Mike Morgan, again very smooth and comfortable. Another genuine member of the staff who made me feel like more than just a "sale". I will definitely be purchasing from this dealership again and will recommend it to any of my friends and family who are looking to purchase. My husband and I shopped around for a 2013 Black Dodge 1500 4x4 Crew Cab within in 200 miles of our home via the internet. There was one located at Akins very reasonably priced. Prior to leaving for this two hour trip to Winder, GA, my husband called Akins to check if the truck was still available and; luckily, it was still there. That's when my husband met our wonderful salesperson, Larry Prunchak! Larry was friendly, professional, and provided exquisite customer service in a timely manner. He'd immediately sent my husband his contact information as well as the address of the dealership via text. Upon arriving the dealership, we were greeted by two friendly salespersons, one of which had Mr. Larry paged for us. We brought our two teenage boys along with us to Winder. The customer waiting areas and restrooms are clean and comfortable. My boys happily waved "bye" to us in the waiting area as they indulged in the assortment of complimentary beverages and computer access. Nevertheless, the Akins dealership family provided us with impeccable customer service. Larry kept us informed every step of the way. No hidden agendas. Upon arrival to the dealership, I was welcomed by several staff members. I met up with Sam Byrd, who sat down with me and asked me exactly what I was looking for in a car. When I told him we were looking at the 200, he quickly gave me a peace in that he felt that was a great vehicle to get. He had the vehicle pulled around, so that I could take a test drive. Once I returned, Sam sat down with me and walked me through the trade in of my vehicle, along with the other cost of the new car. While waiting for my husband to meet up with me Sam could see that I was very uncomfortable and very uneasy. Sam took time to go over anything I was not sure of, and put me at ease. Once my husband arrived we then met with Mike Morgan to finish up the final details. Mike was very pleasant, and went over in details the options we had as far as warranty coverage. Mike did not pressure us into purchasing more than we wanted. He further made sure we understood what the process was for getting a tag. Richard Dove met me at the car and went over some of the special features, making sure I was comfortable. More

I contacted Akins concerning a vehicle I had seen on the Internet. Woody called me back and we arranged to meet the next day. He was friendly and outgoing--willing to let me do whatever I wanted. It turned out that the vehicle I'd seen did not meet my needs--no memory seat. So Woody researched other available vehicles in the color I wanted and with the other features I preferred and found the perfect match. He thoroughly explained all the available rebates and worked numerous financing options for me. While he did make recommendations as to which option he thought would be the most beneficial, he did not try to pressure me to purchase the vehicle or take a specific financing option. Once I had purchased the vehicle, he showed me around the Service Department and introduced me to several people I will deal with when I bring the vehicle in for servicing. He also worked with me (most patiently) demonstrating the options on the vehicle, syncing my phone and helping set up other things the way I wanted. It had been a long time since I purchased an new vehicle and I certainly don't remember service like this is the past. Many thanks to Woody and all the Akins crew. More
