We found a 2012 Ford Explorer on the Akins Web Site that had everything we were looking for. We called and spoke to Jeff Little and tod him he wanted to come look at it but that we lived 65 miles away. Jeff had everything we were looking for. Jeff said he would hold the vehicle until we arrived and sure enough when we arrived he was waiting on us and had it parked by the front door. Jeff was very informative about the vehicle and was eager for us to test drive it, which we did. Upon arriving back at the Dealership we told Jeff that loved the vehicle but we needed one with a Tow Package, which this vehicle didn't have at which time he said their shop could install a factory hitch and wiring if we wanted. Jeff gave us a price, including the hitch, which was very good but was still more than we had budgeted for so we made a counter offer. Jeff said he would have to talk to the Sales Manager about our offer at which time he left and returned a short time later. Jeff told us that Akins was in the business of selling cars and making customers happy over making a lot of money and said that our offer was acceptable. We did the paperwork and now own a beautiful Explorer. I will definitely return to Akins Ford in the future when I decide to purchase my next vehicle and I will hopefully have the pleasure of dealing with Jeff Little again. Jeff is a fair and honest gentleman and he is an asset to Akins Ford. We visited over a dozen dealerships prior to Akins and we wish we had gone there first. More

I recently visited Akins Ford in Winder and purchased a 2011 Ford Focus, and I must say the experience from start to finish was top-notch. Upon arrival I was greeted by Mr. Dove. I let him know what I was looking for in the way of gas-mileage, price, dependability, etc. Richard was very knowledgeable about the product and thorough while looking through a few vehicles. We came upon the Focus and I am very happy with the purchase. I haven't had any issues thus far and the gas mileage is great. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Richard Dove. He was a sweetheart and did not oversell. Good job to everyone there and I will most certainly be recommending Akins Ford to family and friends. I have been dealing with Akins Ford - Winder since the early 1990's and they make the hard task of buying a new or used vehicle very pleasant. I have been buying cars and trucks from Carlis Bryant since 1 early 1990's and they make the hard task of buying a new or used vehicle very pleasant. I have been buying cars and trucks from Carlis Bryant since 1999 and I have to say that Carlis is a very hard working and knowledgeable salesman. He knows the products he sales very well, is very friendly and I feel he has my best interest in mind when I am talking buying a vehicle. He strikes me as being a very dedicated man who enjoys his job. He is not afraid to work long hours as we have completed deals long after closing time on several occasions. I purchased a new Ford Edge from Carlis this past February which my wife and I am really enjoying driving. When my old Ford truck got totaled in a wreck last May I needed another truck and Carlis said he had just the truck for me. He was right and I bought a 2009 Ford F150 from him. It may be used but Akins Ford had it in immaculate shape and it looked brand new. I am happy with both the car and truck. Akins Ford has a great service department also which I used last week on my Ford Edge. Thank you Akins Ford and Carlis Bryant for being there for me. I am 53 and this was my first car purchase. In trying to find the right car to buy I have spoken with and visited many dealerships, those experiences were not pleasant. Akins was a pleasant sales experience starting with the fact that the buyer is able to test drive the car without a salesman riding with them, then to the straight forward, friendly sales approach - none of those sleazy, insulting tactics most other dealerships use! To the very detailed financial meeting where all my many questions were patiently answered. Ending with a very thorough "technology lesson", reviewing all of the Escape's many features, sending me on my way with a good understanding of how to use all of those features. This was very impressive to me because I would imagine not many other dealers take time AFTER THE SALE to do such a thing - Alan even suggested another route back to Atlanta for me and programmed it in navigation so that my ride home in my new car during rush hour traffic was a breeze! This is exactly how I hoped my first car buying experience would be!!! More
