This is by far the worst dealer I have ever been to. I got a quote through upromise.com stating that this dealer has a great price. I spoke with him and gave him the specific specification of what I was looking for. It was for a 2011 Accord EX-L V6 with no nav. I also gave him the color that I was looking for. He told me that there are lots of them on the lot. There is no problem at all. We even agreed on the out the door price. I showed up next day around 12:30 p.m. with my parents to test drive the car. It took him awhile to come out to meet me. He took my parents and I around the lot looking for the car. I should've known at that point that something was wrong. He couldn't find the car with the specs that I told him. He went back to the other side to bring another car around to drive us to the other end of the lot. In the end, the car that I wanted was not on the lot. Still, I test drove the car with my spec in addition to the nav in the car. It was a smooth ride. When we came back, he started to fill out the paper work. That's the second mistake he made. There was no car on the lot and he was taking forever to try to track down another car from another dealer. In the meantime, he was trying to push the car that I test drove. I told him that I didn't want it unless it's the same price that we had agreed on. He gave me a look like I was crazy. I told him that why would I want to buy a car with features that I didn't want. I wasn't going to bulge on it. He continued to try to contact other deals for an exchange. At the same time, he was still trying to push the paperwork through. He finally found another car to exchange with another dealer. It was going to take another 90 minutes for it to be delivered. I should've known better and walked out. He said that it's not going to be a problem. He even told my family and I to grab some lunch and come back. I gave him one more chance....and left to go eat. While at the restaurant, I called him to ask him what the backup plan would be if I didn't like it. He said that I can walk away. I asked him for another car to be brought in just in case. He said that was no possible. I told him that he better be right that I'll be happy with the car. When I came back from lunch, he was nowhere to be found. Instead, I was introduced to another internet sales manager. By then, I was very upset. He knew that fact that I was coming back and yet he still decided to leave for an errand. On top of that, the car was not ready. I test drove the car and was not happy with the handling. I told the new car that I was not happy with it. That's when Eric decided to come back from his errands. He didn't even bother to stop by to check in with us to see how the car was. I told him I want another car. It was already 7:00 p.m. by then. I have been a the dealer for over 6 hours. The internet sales manager wen to discuss with Kenry Ford, sales manager. They came back together to find out what's wrong with the car. I told that the gas pedal and the brakes were stiff. The handling was also bad. The manager said if he could have the service department to take a look at it tomorrow or another day after I purchase the car. I told him that is ridiculous. There's no way I would buy a car if I'm not comfortable with him. He told me to be realistic and not listen to my heart and my gut feeling. I asked him if he would sit in the car knowing that the car is not right. He said that it would be ok if it's only for one night or a few days. I asked him if he can guarantee the car with full money back. He was getting upset that I was being unreasonable. I told him to look for another car for me. I also told him that I have been at the dealer for over 6 hours and it shouldn't even take this long. They gave me there business car and I told them to call me when they find my car. To top it all off, the business car that Henry Ford, the sales manager gave me, was not even official. He took an old business card, put white out on it, and then put his name on it. That's so dishonest. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. It was a waste of my time and family time. More
I just leased a new Honda Civic last night from this dealership and I had truly great service. I was greated by polite and helpful employees and was helped right away. They made me feel very comfortable by guiding me through my lease and went out of their way to help me get just what I wanted at just the right price for me. They made sure I was completely comfortable with my new car before I drove off the lot. They made my experience very quick and easy! I would recommend this dealership to everyone! More
Alvin Benjamin is truley a class act sales man which I really enjoyed working with. I confirmed the lease price over the phone. They honored their quote which was less than other dealerships. He attempted to do the outmost for us to leave the dealer ship satisfied, specially when we had some problem with the car battery which was replaced. I am so happy with my new Honda Accord Coupe, and Alvin really made my whole car buying experience wonderful! He was easy to talk to, was not full of fluff, had so much knowledge about the vehicle, and was really made my whole car buying experience wonderful! I had a great experience purchasing my new Honda Odyssey Touring 2011. From the minute I e-mailed John he whent out of his way to get the specific color and model I wanted the same day, he had it delivered Touring 2011. Once I got there my van had my name on it so no one would sell it!! I was there for a while but I had a trade-in that wasn't to easy to sell since it had a high pay-off amount but John did a great job in helping me get a deal. Larry was another salesman helping us out with the test drive and furnishing us with information. He showed us the service department and set me up with my first service appointment. Overall I left happy with my purchase and the service I recieved. Thanks! More
Hi. The rating I'm giving is for the sales experience (bought a SWEET new 2011 Accord Coupe). What a GREAT group of people(Antwoine, Jay, Tony and Lyndon). I'm a super picky (yes, I'd call myself a perf (bought a SWEET new 2011 Accord Coupe). What a GREAT group of people(Antwoine, Jay, Tony and Lyndon). I'm a super picky (yes, I'd call myself a perfectionist) and very analytical guy, and these folks went out of their way to make me happy! First, because I was insistent on having a tan leather interior, they explained all the color combinations, checked the entire SoCal Honda inventory ... and had to go all the way to Riverside to find a car for me. And what a car it is! Antwoine personally took most of his Saturday to drive from LA (Marina/Airport Honda) to do the dealer trade in Riverside. AND, on the financing end of things, I was thinking about leasing. After I got home and ran the numbers that Jay had worked up for me on my own spreadsheet program, I wasn't really happy with what I was seeing on the imputed interest rate. The next day, Jay and Lyndon (very patiently) explained to me an additional variable in the algorithm that I hadn't realized before (re. the imputed interest rate of a lease). Guess what?!? --I ended up purchasing, and they had no problem re-doing the deal as a purchase. THANK YOU GUYS!! You're the best! I'm telling you as someone who's 49, 6 hours shy of a Doctorate degree (CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner to boot), and this dealership (at least everyone that I personally interacted with) can be TRUSTED! I knew the first time I met Antwoine that he was a different kind of salesperson (i.e. he's someone you actually WANT to continue to have a friendship with). In fact, I'm treating HIM next Friday to a beer and a steak. How's that for customer satisfaction?! More
In 40 years of buying cars, Alvin Benjamin is the ONLY salesman I can say that I ever dealt with who was totally ethical, honest and delivered on his word. I've had two other Civics but was never really happy with the dealers I worked with. So I searched dealers in L.A. for a 2011 Honda Civic, and Alvin Benjamin was the only salesman whose name came up with multiple recent rave reviews. So I called him. He was clear, concise and promised to get back to me with a quote within 1/2 an hour. And he lived up to his promise! When I arrived the next day Alvin made the process almost effortless. He was polite, charming and clear in all his communications. No run-around, no "let me check with my manager." It was a totally stress free experience. I'm in the S.F. valley but it was worth the drive. He's the internet sales manager and a guy I'm telling all my friends about. More
