Had a broken part on a 2010 Avalanche. Ordered replacement from online site, ...not the exact fit. Pin connector for wire bundle not the same,...other small details too. Called two Chevy dealer parts departments in Houston. Gave me the "should be" part number, but no reason the OEM part wouldn't fit. Called Aggieland and talked to Sam. Sam took the time to search his sources and found our part was from an Escalade, used as a replacement by the previous owner. (similar enough to fit both vehicles). Ordered and installed the part,...all works as advertised. Thank you Sam for your patience and diligence in finding out why OEM wouldn't fit, and for getting us the correct part. More
Sent me an email advertising a new 2022 Equinox reserved for me at $24K. Took the time to go to the dealership. No Equinox on the lot with less than a starting price of $30K. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership if you live further than 20 minutes away. Sales person called me this morning and offered to sell me the vehicle my wife was looking for since January 2022. We live an hour and a half away, so she dropped everything and started driving to the dealership. I offered to pay them a down payment over the phone, asked to start the purchase process, offered to pay cash, did everything I could do to purchase the vehicle in the meantime. They refused to do it. She was 30 minutes out, and they sold the vehicle out from under us. Unethical leadership and obscenely bad customer service. More
DO NOT USE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I took in my 2013 chevrolet equinox to have the check engine light checked. They checked it out and apparently the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. They say my car is safe to drive so I could have it back but I was informed that the parts would have to be ordered for the catalytic converter and that they would give me a call in a little over a week to have it changed out when the parts came in. Two weeks and four days later I hear nothing from them so I give them a call to check the situation. I get the same guy I had during the first run who checks the service report and notices that somethings wrong and proceeds to tell me that he will call me back because he has to talk to the parts department about the error. Closing time rolls past and I have not heard back from him about the situation. Another two weeks pass before I hear anything from them and when they do they finally have the parts to fix my car. After the winter freeze I finally make an appointment. The service department opens at 8:00 A.M. I take my car over at roughly 8:35 A.M. to have the parts changed and ask when it should be ready, the same guy from the first two rounds replies that it should be ready around mid-afternoon. So I head home and 3:30 P.M. rolls past nothing, 4:00 P.M. getting a little worried by now no calls, 4:30 P.M. nothing from Tom Light Chevrolet, I wait until 4:45 pm roughly and I decide to give them a call to check on the status of my car because I need it to get to work tomorrow at 6 A.M.. So I call them I get the exact same guy as all three times and here's the kicker according to him my car is not ready for pick up it won't be ready until tomorrow morning. I ask why, his reply that the mechanics got backed up and could not get to my car today. So I say thanks and hang up Its roughly 5:00 P.M.. Tom Light Chevrolet service department closes at 6:00 P.M.. Now, I can understand that dealership certified repair shops are busy and might not get back to you about your pending car part orders within said time frame exactly they go through hundreds of customers. They might not fix your car in the same day that you drop it off because they have a lot of service repairs that day or give you a loaner because of policy or lack of cars. BUT to NOT have the common decency to AT LEAST call the customer to let them know that they won't get their car back according to a previously stated time frame and provide them with options of transport at least two hours before closing time is unacceptable. I was fortunate enough that the upper management was able to help solve some issues and I have transport for the next day. But I can assure you three things: if I could have given them zero stars for this review I would have, I would not recommend using their services (my opinion you make your own decisions on whether to risk it or not), and I will not be going back to use their services ever again after retrieving my car. More

It took them over 24 hours to finish the replacements. I was never informed that they would keep my car overnight. To top it off, they charged $50.00 in labor to replace the air filters. I would definitely not recommend this service department, nor will I go back. More

He went in to Tom Light to have them put his license plate on and they charged him for it. It is not about the money they charged it is the principle that we should not pay to put a license plate on a car we just bought. No matter where we bought it. I know in my business that I do things for my customers all the time that has nothing to do with what I am building at that moment. All the service adviser (Cole Mullinberg) wanted to do was argue and give examples of why they should not put the plate on. Very disappointing. I know that we will not buy a car from or recommend this dealership. More

We were greeted as soon as we set foot on the premises. Also, Clint Bernard made sure that I knew everything that I was committing my self to, which I enjoyed. Over all the staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. As of now, they have made sure to keep in touch to make sure everything is running smoothly in regards to the car and also our decision of purchasing the car. I will definitely recommend any Chevrolet vehicle to family and friends but I will also recommend Tom Light Chevrolet in Bryan/College Station to any one I (and make sure they get in touch with Christopher Terrell).
