They don't keep the promise. The dealer said he would take care of the paper works for the insurance company. But he never did it. Rather he just lied, when I reached him. He said that he gave everything I need, but he did not. So I tried to reach him again (many times), but he never answers the phone call. I tried to call the dealer often and they say this guy would get back to me, but it happened only once when he said the same lie with a frustrated voice. And since then, he was never been reachable. Since calling the dealer didn't work, I tried the webchat with their representative, and those people were nice. However, all they could do was just carry the message to this guy, which he always ignored. All I needed was just one proof of sales, but this guy cannot handle that. And he doesn't want to acknowledge his mistake. And he has no intention to fix the problem he has created. I wish I could give them zero stars. The dealer guy doesn't deserve even one star for his performance as well as his honesty. I would never recommend this dealer. They don't have a concept of responsibility. More
Terrible Experience My wife and I were/are shopping for a new SUV and plan to trade in our current vehicle. We called around 12 Hyundai dealerships (within 3 hours of us) My wife and I were/are shopping for a new SUV and plan to trade in our current vehicle. We called around 12 Hyundai dealerships (within 3 hours of us) for the specific make and trim model we were looking for. ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI of Hickville Long Island had the exact car that we had been looking for. We shortly realized the dealership was 2.5 hours away (one way), so we did not want to waste the dealerships time, nor ours if the car was not for sale and the trade-in amount could not match our needs. We were assured that the trade-in would be "matched or beat." We asked again, we are driving 2.5 hours one way, you are sure you will match the price of what another dealership quoted us..."yes, we will match or beat that." At this point my wife and I are extremely excited; we made the drive on a Friday from NJ to NY to the dealership. The sales rep(Henry) did everything he could to make the process as smooth as possible. The management and appraiser on the other hand, completely TERRIBLE. The appraiser came back over $3500.00 less than what we were assured would be "matched or beat". Henry did his job, he went back to the appraiser and they raised the appraisal $400.00, which was still $3100.00 less than two previous dealerships. At this point, we were too far off on our numbers to agree. A manager nor the appraisal manager came over to speak with us about the sale(and they knew we drove 2.5 hours). They simply let us walk out. Management did not greet us, did not come over to talk to us to see how they could make the sale happen, nor did they apologize for the inconvenience they had caused. This dealership could care less about the customers experience as it was on display with how our processed unfolded. Furthermore, it showed that their facilities(or the lack thereof) and amenities are poorly managed. The least you could do, if a person is spending $50k on a new car, and you as a dealership will be making 10-20% on a $45k trade in, is be friendly and professional. DO NOT waste your time with this dealership. There is a lack of trust, professionalism, cleanliness, and care for customer satisfaction. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!! They WILL try to pull a switcheroo when signing the contract, increasing the final amount. Are you serious? Why would anyone ever do business with someone who pulls that sort of crap? 3. They will tell you that negotiating for a better price is QUOTE A classic example of nickel and diming and we dont appreciate it. UNQUOTE. They dont treat you like this in other dealerships. Deceptive Practices On August 27th 2019 I went to the dealership with my son to lease a 2019 Hyundai Sonata SE. I emailed Dominique Preston with some questions and she as On August 27th 2019 I went to the dealership with my son to lease a 2019 Hyundai Sonata SE. I emailed Dominique Preston with some questions and she assured me that they would forgive the remaining 8 payments of my lease since I received a notice from Long Island City Hyundai that they were willing to do so and that they had lease payments starting at $71 per month for the new Sonata. I printed out the car that I wanted and it was listed as a special for $72 per month. When we got to the dealer, I met Dominique Preston. She handed us off to Joe Schaffer. I showed him the notice that I got from LIC Hyundai to forgive the lease and I showed him the car that I printed out. He went to the back and when he came back he asked me what I was paying for the current lease. I said $330 per month as a result of the terrible deal from LIC Hyundai. The first offer he came back with was $319/month with $3995 down. I was insulted by this offer and let Joe know that. He said what do you want to pay. I told him that I want the deal in the offer online to be honored. He said he couldn't do that. Then he said they'll forgive the lease and the new payment will be $299/month with $3000 down. We told him $269/month and when he said he couldn't do that we proceeded to walk out and he came after us saying that he'll do it for $279 per month. We asked for a breakdown of the price with everything else laid out and he refused to give it to us. After reviewing the contract, I can clearly see that they didn't forgive the lease as they said they would do and as is on the signed lease order. Also they didn't include all of the discounts that they were supposed to. They were supposed to offer $4,250 from Hyundai and the dealer was offering and additional $2000 off. These two rebates are advertised on their website. My son also owns a Hyundai and we mentioned this to Joe. That should have been an extra $500 off. The total rebates should have been $6750 and they only gave us $4750. When we went to see the finance manager, he made me sign the lease agreement before the original lease order. There is a discrepancy between the the Lease Order and the Lease Agreement. The lease order shows that the $2310 old lease balance was taken off and on the lease agreement it was added back in. Even if the tax isn't figured into the $72 per month, figuring it in would still bring it to less than $200 per month for the lease. I would like the manger from the dealer to contact me to correct this. I will also be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau for deceptive practices. I wouldn't recommend this dealer to anyone. UPDATE 9/10: We met with Jon Stern and he admitted that they messed up and sent us a check for $1500 which was actually less than the amount that was actually owed to us. The difference was about $40. I appreciate them admitting to the mistake and I hope in the future they will be more honest and meet my expectations. More

Sales experience was a nightmare because of the people in back registering the car. However, service is worse. I have 2 cars and brought the first car in for a few oil changes but wait times was stated to be an hour but was always over 2. Therefore, I stopped going there even though I had free oil changes. Then my 2014 Hyundai Accent started burning oil. I went back and had to do an oil test. I had to pay for an oil change which I did even though when I bought the car, I had free oil changes. I then had to bring my car back on 4 different occasions for them to test the oil. My car needed a new engine which was replaced free my Hyundai since it was under warrantee. I get a call that my car is almost done on a Thursday and then receive a call on Tuesday saying my cars been done since Friday where am I? I go to pick up my vehicle and when I return the loaner and my car is given to me, My Air conditioner is broken. I go back in to be told by Demitry that my ac was broken when I dropped off. I say " NO it wasn't, I was using it when I dropped it off." He said, he was noted on my paperwork that it was broken but never told me cause he figured I knew. I asked for a manager, I spoke with Chris. Who didnt even look up from his computer at me and said " HIs service dept said it was broken and that the AC is not touched during an engine change and since I WAS JUST A WOMAN, I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT REPAIRS. I then was very upset and told him that was unacceptable. HE walked into an office to speak with some one else and closed the door and stated " ANOTHER F***** IDIOT". They out freon in my ac but within a week, It was not working again. THANK GOODNESS for corp stepping in since, MY request for a call back from JOHN the local general manager went unanswered and also the district manager who I requested was unresponsed. ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI gives HYUNDAI a bad name. SERVICE and SALES are Horrible. They were sexist and namipulative. They LIE. *****CORP allowed me to go to another Hyundai dealership which covered my repairs for my AC since ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI caused the problem. BTW the AC is contacted to the ENGINE so when they remove the engine, they need to either remove the ac or tie it up so it doesn't get a hole in it******* Advantage is the worst DEALER SHIP ever ****** More

I leased the limited edition 2019 Kona as well as the extra tire package, I got a flat and called the roadside service which was a guy in a maxima, not a tow truck. I have amazing credit and pay $412 a month for a limited edition Hyundai and it didn’t even come with a spare tire Or donut or run flats. The roadside service couldn’t help me. They never offered for me to pay for a spare or eve told me there was no spare when I purchased the car. They did nothing for me and treated me like garbage. Manager didn’t even come out of his hole! When I went to pick up the car Joe old me he "made a mistake" and the car I drove was NOT the one I that I purchased. The one I purchased did not have electric seats or sun roof. It was a Classic bait and switch and against my better judgment I still decided to go forward. No sense putting in information before hand because you still have to wait a VERY long time for the process. Made the appointment to pick up the car and NOTHING was ready so I had to wait well over an hour for the "paperwork" to be completed. Then I had to sit through the finance person trying to sell me a warranty for the same period that the car already comes with. Took this dealership 24 DAYS to get the loan paid off at which time I was already assessed a late fee. Manger did not return multiple phone calls. I was told by the sales person that the check went out and that was a LIE. I finally had to go to take time off and go to the dealership to talk to the manager. Even while I stood there he wasn't going to talk to me. He only spoke to me because I insisted to speak to him directly. He then spoke to me like I was an idiot, telling me how difficult the pay off process was and not to worry, my credit isn't impacted until the payment is 90 days late! Really?? I finally got confirmation that the check was being sent but the ineptness just continued. When they did finally send the check, it was sent to the wrong address!!! This was despite the fact that I had provided the sales person all of the accurate information where to send the check. Horrible sales, horrible customer service, unresponsive management. They simply did not care about the customer. High volume LOW LOW service and quality dealership. There are a lot of other choices in dealership, pick ANY other one but this one. More

Had no idea it was a compact and when I got home to load everyone in to pick up the car I drove there we barely fit. So I drove back to exchange it for a tucsan and they wouldn't. Said I would have to wait for paperwork and trade it in. I needed a car and had to buy another one since we didn't fit. Now I have two cars because I couldn't exchange it. Windows also had water spots that don't come out. Remote start has an additional key fob unlike I was told. If they put in the one with 3x lock they said I wouldn't be able to get in my car without using the laser cut key. Remote locks wouldn't work while it's running. The staff are all shams. This place will sucker you out of every dime and say anything you want to hear to get you into a car you can't get out of. Go anywhere else that has shopper assurance so you don't make my mistake.
