Customer service is not important! My husband purchased a new vehicle from Hawk Chevrolet Bridgeview on Monday 5/11/20 and upgraded the tires and rims at the time of purchase. He put do My husband purchased a new vehicle from Hawk Chevrolet Bridgeview on Monday 5/11/20 and upgraded the tires and rims at the time of purchase. He put down a substantial down payment for the vehicle. He was informed by his salesperson that it would take 7-10 days for the tires to be delivered and installed on the vehicle. On 5/20/20, he was contacted by the salesperson and informed that the tires that he ordered were not able to be installed on the vehicle because Chevrolet/GM did not recommend the size tire selected for the model year of the Chevrolet that he purchased. My husband then made arrangements to pick up the vehicle with the factory rims later that afternoon. Upon arrival to the dealership at the agreed upon time, we met with the salesperson who informed us that the original tires were installed and that the service technician was driving the vehicle to make sure everything was ok with the car. After waiting for about an half an hour, we were then told by the salesperson that we would not be able to pick up the vehicle and that we could come back tomorrow. Now my husband works nights and we live 45 minutes (minimum) away from the dealership. When asked why we could not pick up the vehicle as originally arranged, the sales person could not answer the question and informed us the he had "another customer" and that we should talk to the service manager about the wait time. He then left us to wait another 20 minutes in the service department waiting room. We then approached the service manager who was as helpful as he could be in the situation. By this point, both my husband and myself were not satisfied with the customer service received. When we went to the sales department to speak with management, we were initially approached by Dan Wallow who asked us if we were there to put a down payment on a vehicle. No,"Hi, how may I help you?" or "Do you need any assistance?". He was just interested in cash. We were then directed to the general sales manager who after listening to our complaint, offered us a free oil change. We don't want a free oil change! We want better communication from your sales team member and we want to be treated with respect and with value. To attempt to placate us with a free oil change just shows how little the dealership feels about the customer experience. Neither party really listened to the concerns that we had, they just wanted to placate us and not dress the problem. I would not recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family! More

Going to Hawk Chevrolet dealer was going into the uncertain, but once I met Eddie and talked about buying a car he make me feel comfortable and after that it was all down hill. Horrible I was over charged for a loose wire. First told it was something else even Though I told the service manager I had that problem fixed.
