Worst car buying experience in 30 years of buying new cars. ehrlichman 6 minutes ago-Edit IV'E BEEN BUYING NEW CARS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND THIS HAS GOT TO BE HANDS DOWN THE WORST EXPERIENCE IV'E EVER HAD! ehrlichman 6 minutes ago-Edit IV'E BEEN BUYING NEW CARS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND THIS HAS GOT TO BE HANDS DOWN THE WORST EXPERIENCE IV'E EVER HAD! Don't walk, RUN as fast as you can from this dealership, management are all a bunch of liars and cheats. Made an internet appointment 10 DAYS ahead of planned visit traveling 3 hours away to look at a SPECIFIC vehicle. I must have gotten at least 6 emails confirming appointment but when I got there I was told vehicle was at another Hawk dealership 40 MILES AWAY! So I waited 1 1/2 hours for them to have someone drive the car over there only to have it arrive with stains on the leather seats and dirty carpeting along with stains on the leather dash. COME ON PEOPLE this is a Corvette with a sticker price over 72000! Now we get to the best part, the only reason I made the trip was because the advertised internet price was appealing with all the rebates they were offering, I qualified for all rebates but at closing was informed that the price would be 995.00 higher due to destination charge. So I sucked it up and agreed to price because I didn't want to travel all that way and not leave without the car, so once I get the car home I recheck their online ad only to find out the destination charge was already included in the internet sales price, so they DOUBLE CHARGED ME for the destination charge. When I brought it to their attention Robert the sales manager told me that's how they do it in Illinois, so now i'm refusing to give them certain documentation regarding a rebate I got until they reimburse me for the extra 995.00 they charged me. Then Forest the finance guy contacts me and proceeds to tell me the reason the price was higher because I didn't qualify for all the rebates! Management can't even get their stories straight on their BS. Now their threatening to hold back my paperwork and tax check I need to title the car in Wisconsin. This is my FOURTH corvette iv'e bought and will be my LAST from this dealership! HIGHLY UNETHICAL TREATMENT, apparently customer service along with repeat business isn't a priority with this dealership. More
Liar and deceptive practice DO NOT BUY a vehicle from Rocco Ruffulo he is a LIAR, CHEAt and deceptive practice, after days of him telling me don't worry the deal is done, I have DO NOT BUY a vehicle from Rocco Ruffulo he is a LIAR, CHEAt and deceptive practice, after days of him telling me don't worry the deal is done, I have all the connections and people do what I tell them. I told him my credit isn't that great again he stated don't worry about it you will be driving out with anew vehicle. Rocco even went so far as to tell me what day to come in because that would be the day his financial connection will be in. I told him repeatedly I did not want to spend all day and he stated over and over again "Deal is done" he also ran my credit and my mother's credit without any permission at all. I have all the proof to back me up on this I have all his texts. Bottom line he went back on his word and said they can't sell me a vehicle but again they advertise "bad credit no credit". I wish there was more space here to REALLY get into detail. Please save yourself time and stress and DO NOT go to HAWK chev in Bridgeview and DO NOT deal with Rocco Ruffullo. More

Robert was our salesman and he took his time to listen to what we were looking for and worked hard to find our vehicle. All the staff were friendly and helpful. From the sales staff, to Ken in finance and Edyta setting up our OnStar everyone was so helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for a better experience!!! More

My wife was looking forward to her first brand new car . They Baited me and Switched me on the price . They have the car right now and the listing is still posted but They would not honor the price . They said I could purchase it for 13218 plus tax title and license . Ha what a joke waste of time . I also offered my help by getting them a Gm employee retiree rebate back but they would not honor the listed price online . This is clearly a bait and switch on price and the listing is still posted . HAWK CHEVY IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE ! What a waste of time and effort . I would call the local police but I'm not that way . Takes unauthorized liberties with credit After being pre-qualified through a finance company prior to shopping for a used vehicle, one of my selections was at Hawk Chevy, a 2012 Malibu. So I After being pre-qualified through a finance company prior to shopping for a used vehicle, one of my selections was at Hawk Chevy, a 2012 Malibu. So I specifically went to Hawk to look at that vehicle. When I arrived there, a salesman was outside to greet me, and I told him my intentions. He suggested to check out some other vehicles and that I may be qualified for better financing. I agreed. So I test drove a Cruze and the payment was within my budget. I was trading in my car as my down payment so I wasn't putting any money down. He said the financing was through Ally Bank, GM's main finance company I signed the papers, and shook the salesman's hand like we had a deal. Ten minutes later he comes back and says the financing didn't go through and that I had to put $2000 down which wasn't going to happen. So minutes passed and he came back suggesting a couple other cars. I test drove a newer Malibu with a cracked windshield and some noise coming from the transmission. There was also an Equinox I was shown but never drove that I might consider but wasn't high on the list. Payments were too high. Now the salesman's getting agitated. He points out a Kia Optima. I told him I was a Chevy guy. As we walked around the lot, we passed by the car that I originally came to see. He says he wasn't going to sell me that car. So I never drove it nor did he ever get the keys. So during this entire time, whatever cars he thought he had me roped into, the inquiry for financing is going out to whomever they deal with without my knowledge. Not one approved me for credit. So during the past 3 weeks, I've received 10 denial letters of credit from 5 banks, but only one letter from Ally bank they said they deal with. I received 3 letters from one bank with 3 different loan amounts, and 2 letters each from 3 other banks. If an agreement was for only the Cruze, why were so many inquiries put in for others I never agreed on or authorized? So now I have 10 hard inquiries on my credit report. The funny thing is that they had a potential sale with pre-qualified credit if they would have shown me the car I originally went in for. I guess the commission or profit wasn't enough. If anyone asks me what dealerships I could recommend to buy a car, I will first tell them where not to go. More
