I literally just got home to Massachusetts in my (new to me) 2011 Acura MDX which I purchased from Acura of Westchester this morning. I could not be happier. This vehicle represents a bit of a step up from my other vehicles (Nissan and Honda) so as one would expect, the fit and finish are superior, the overall quality is superior and the smooth power and acceleration are all noticeably different from sedans I've driven. I'm very happy with the quality of the vehicle and the feel I have while driving it...I may never go away from Acura; There is that much of a difference. Here's the thing: The quality of vehicle is not the most memorable part of the whole car buying process. It was all about people. I worked with Kelly Ryder from the first time I found this particular vehicle on cars.com. I knew I wanted a specific color combination and mileage, so after contacting the dealership via the website , Kelly was the first person I spoke to. At the time, the car was so new to Westchester Acura that it had not been even been photographed to create a profile on cars.com. Here's where I knew I had someone I wanted to work with: Kelly took pictures of the car (and the leather seats) with her phone and sent them to me. Since that time we were in touch almost daily so I knew where things stood with that vehicle. Given my busy basketball coaching schedule, I could not get out to the dealership for almost 5 weeks. That's a lot to ask of a dealership, but Kelly and the team were willing to work with me and I'm very thankful for it. Here's what I learned about Kelly: She's very responsive, she really knows her stuff, she will shoot straight and she has your best interest in mind. In my case I was grateful for her command of the steps required to make an out of state transaction like mine happen. I live north of Boston, so all of our dealings with this vehicle were done remotely. I trusted her judgment and believe it or not I had not seen nor driven the car until I picked it up today. My friends and colleagues were wondering if I'd lost my mind, but she assured me I'd love it and she was right. As I said, she pretty much drove the whole process and had sound advice for me about how to best work with my insurance company, handle financing, set up a remote starter, get contracts set, provide what the RMV needed (which is no small task.), etc. Today when I picked the car up (after getting a courtesy lift from Fernando from the train station) Kelly literally sat in the car and walked me through all of the features (many were new to me) and actually gave me an old power cord from her own car so my phone wouldn't run out of power on the trip home. Even though she had other sales pending and people to talk to she never pushed me along or made me feel rushed. That's a big deal. I have years of domestic and international experience in business in a number of industries and I know talent when I see it. Kelly is very professional, can juggle multiple priorities and handles herself very well in demanding situations. But it's her capacity to build trust that really stands out. It's not often you can come away from car buying experience saying you enjoyed the process....but I did. I peppered her with tons of emails and inquiries and she answered every one of them. I'm sure it wasn't easy to put up with a sale that took weeks and weeks to come together, but as I said I will recommend Kelly to anyone in the Boston area who will listen. Based on the feedback from friends who have seen my new car, I'm no longer considered crazy for having trusted someone to make this whole thing go right. I had a wonderful experience with Kelly. There was no pressure to buy from her. Kelly was great about letting me return to test drive the car a second time and was willing to wait until I finally was re pressure to buy from her. She spent time with me, showing me all the special items in the car. Of course, I will have to return to have her go over them again but I know that she will not mind!!! More

As soon as I arrived I was introduced to the general manager, who made me feel very welcomed. We discussed my options and Kenny listen to what I wanted.
