Kevin made sure I would have a loaner car while my car was being worked on. I like how the service technician (thanks Bo) drove with us to be clear about the noises that I was concerned about. One issue was cleared up easily and didn't require attention. The other was less apparent but diagnostics by the service team identified the problem. I was pleased to discover the issue had been resolved when I picked up the car two days later. I drive a 2013 Acura RDX with nearly 250,000 miles on it and Acura of Salem has provided excellent service throughout which I believe has extended the life of this car. Thanks Kevin and team Acura! I recently visited Acura of Salem to get new tires installed on my vehicle. Although they were able to complete the work, my experience wasn’t exactly pleasant, and I’m hesitant to return.I scheduled installed on my vehicle. Although they were able to complete the work, my experience wasn’t exactly pleasant, and I’m hesitant to return.I scheduled my appointment for early in the morning, taking time off work specifically to get this done. When I arrived at the service bay at opening, no one greeted me. I eventually went inside, where I saw several staff members talking near the coffee machine without acknowledging me. After a while, I had to speak up to get noticed, which felt rather cold. I was then assisted by the service manager, Kevin.Kevin seemed surprised that I had an appointment and had to search through their records to find it. I explained that I had confirmed the appointment over the phone, and specifically booked it for the morning to minimize my time away from work. Unfortunately, Kevin informed me that, due to shared equipment with other vehicles, it could take the whole day to complete. I was frustrated because this information wasn’t provided over the phone, and I had expected the job to take only a couple of hours, as it has at other dealerships.I asked if a loaner car was available, but was told there were none, though they offered a ride. Eventually, Kevin suggested that a technician could drop off my vehicle at my home once the work was completed, which I appreciated. Fortunately, a family member was there to give me a ride to work, so I could leave my car.The work was completed in about four hours, and the invoice was sent to me promptly. I paid and arranged for the vehicle to be dropped off, which happened around 11:30 a.m which caused to miss more time from work than originally thought. Overall, while the actual service work was satisfactory, the lack of friendliness from staff and the lack of transparency about service times over the phone made for a frustrating experience. I wish the staff had been more welcoming and upfront about the timing when I scheduled my appointment. Based on this experience, I probably wouldn’t recommend Acura of Salem and would likely only return if absolutely necessary. More
Super friendly, did exactly what they said they would do called me with the estimate. When I came to pick up my car they were quick to get me in and out. It was discouraging to hear that the prices have gone up yet again for an oil change. However, I was offered a small discount and the in and out time was less than 45 minutes, its usually an hour min. Recal yet again for an oil change.
