I visited Ocean Acura on 7/18 to check out the MDX. I have for the past 10 years owned Lexus vehicles so I a was a little unsure if I could turn to an Acura now. I LOVED the MDX and thought very highly o have for the past 10 years owned Lexus vehicles so I a was a little unsure if I could turn to an Acura now. I LOVED the MDX and thought very highly of my sales person George Notte. I wound up trading in my Lexus for the Acura and am very happy I did. I did not find George my salesman pushy at all. After reading some of these reviews I am shocked on all the bad ones posted. My experience was a pleasure!!!!! I'm glad I judge on my own experience and not based on others, as people should do. Reading some of the profanity used in some of the bad reviews really only speaks for the person writing that review. More
I had a chance to visit Ocean Acura today to take my girlfriend to test drive the new TL AWD. I have a ZDX and love it and really love the acura brand. My girlfriend has a BMW for 2 years and wants a ne girlfriend to test drive the new TL AWD. I have a ZDX and love it and really love the acura brand. My girlfriend has a BMW for 2 years and wants a new car. I figured she would love the TL as I love the ZDX. I went into Ocean Acura and met with a salesman and asked for a test drive of the new TL.. He said sure no problem just give me your license. My girlfriend was on her way there from work and I wanted to have the test drive ready for her when she got there. About ten minutes later I was outside waiting for my girlfriend and Steve Cotter(MGR) comes out and calls me over to him and says sorry we dont want your business and you can not test drive one of his cars. He says to me that I had caused an issue with his boss Russell Redeker in the past. So what he was talking about is what i think happened last year when I sent my neighbor in to buy a ZDX as he loved mine and Steve Cotter(MGR) gave him a price and took a deposit and when my neighbor shopped around the same night found the car for $4000 less and Steve Cotter(MGR) told him he cant have his deposit back and that my neighbor would have to sue him to get a refund. This is classic Steve Cotter (MGR) xxxxxxx way of treating people. Over the last 10 years myself and dozens of people I know have tried to buy Acura's from them and they always turn out to be the nastiest, most dishonest bunch of people in the industry. I once again tried to give them my business today and they prove themselves to be xxxxxxxx and horrible business people. It's amazing but as you read so many of the other reviews on this site it shows how many people actually hate these xxxxxxxx. The fact that the Redeker family can leave this nightmare of a guy in charge of this dealership is incredible. I have to believe that Steve Cotter has a secret on the Redeker family and cant be fired. The most incredible thing for me is that they have the worst rating as an acura dealer in the entire country and Acura hasn't done anything about this yet ? I ask anyone who has negative dealings with Steve Cotter to write to Acura and complain about his lying, stealing and cheating people out of money. This man is single handily hurting the Acura brand and he needs to be kicked out of the industry once and for all. I've leased 4 MDX's from Acura of Ocean over the last 11 years and have always had a great experience throughout the lease transactions. Jay has always gone above and beyond the typical salesman's role in t years and have always had a great experience throughout the lease transactions. Jay has always gone above and beyond the typical salesman's role in taking as much time as necessary in making sure I'm totally familiar with all the programming functions/ set up issues in all the systems in each new MDX-2001,2004,2008 and 2011. Their pricing has always been great, in fact, my new lease is over $75.00 a month less than my last one. They have impressed me with their professionalism and ease of dealing in a friendly and professional manner. I look forward to my future transactions with Jay, Steve, Ciro, and Russell. My wife recently went to look at a used car that was for sale at ACura of Ocean. Jay Pickelny the salesman gave all her the information on the car and took her for a test drive. He treated her as a serious buyer even though I was not with her. I subsequently went back several times to test drive the car and then negotiate a fair price for the car. Jay was extremely pleasant to deal with, he was very easygoing and we never felt any presure to make a purchase. He also made sure were were completely satisfied once we decided to purchase the car. Just prior to the purchase we noticed a few small details that needed to be fixed. These items were fixed even after the purchase was completed and Jay made sure that we were completed satisfied. I would definitely recommend dealing with Jay when going to Acura of Ocean when purchasing a car. More
When I first read the dealer's reviews, I was hesitant to drive 75 min to see a vehicle I was interested in. I spoke w/Mike Madden (sales mgr) who said he would make it worth the trip. He gave me a good price over the phone to get me to come and see the vehicle. He was very friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. He also worked w/me on my trade. The only complaint I have was w/the CPO department. They missed a few things when they inspected the vehicle. There were bolts/screws missing from underneath on the heat shield and mud guards. I was able to take it to my local dealer for repair.However, everything else has been fine on the vehicle. Steve even imported and set up my phonebook. More
I have been a customer since the late 80's and have bought and leased more than 10 cars from this dealer. I have also referred many other people to the dealership. Pricing, service and quality are ex bought and leased more than 10 cars from this dealer. I have also referred many other people to the dealership. Pricing, service and quality are excellent and I would not go anywhere else to get an Acura. In my family, I always have 1-2 Acura in my driveway. More
