Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. Your feedback is taken very seriously and I wanted to extend my sincerest apologies for the negative experience you had during your must recent visit. First, I want to state that our dealership does not tolerate discrimination of any kind and I assure you that neither your gender nor race had anything to do with the decisions made by our service team. After reviewing the Carfax and vehicle service history and learning that the warning lights had been on for some time and recommended maintenance had been declined in the past, our team informed you that the technicians would need to run extensive diagnostics on the vehicle to determine what the root cause of all the indicators was. They let you know the diagnostic may not be covered by the warranty depending upon what was found at which point you stated you did not want to pay the diagnostic and left the facility without completing your scheduled appointment. Our Service Manager called and he informed you of all the possible routes we could take with your vehicle, none of which met your satisfaction. At that time he advised you that we would not be able to help you. You are more than welcome to contact us at (631) 470-6600 and ask to speak with either our Service Manager or General Manager if you still have questions/concerns.

While I appreciate Acura of Huntinton responding to my review, there are some details outlined in your response that is materially inaccurate. My grievance is more about the rude, condesending and discriminatory behavior of Service Manager Anthony Matassa. Had I been a man I am certain Anthony Matassa would not have accused me of lying. Anthony Matassa lack of civility would not have been tolerated by a man. The prior service manager at Acura of Huntington was such a pleasure to deal with, he demonstrated the level of professionalism and courtesy that influenced me to want to remain with Acura. During Anthony Matassa tirade, he asked if I expected Acura to loan me a Mecedes! Imagine a service manager at Acura making a comment like that. Lastly, I had absolutely no issue if the diagnostic issue wasn't covered under my extended warranty that I purchased from Acura of Huntington when I bought my certified pre-owned vehicle, I simply raised it as an inquiry. Anthony Matassa literally told me he would not service my car, so I am not quite sure what routes were explored to assist me other than to let me know Acura of Huntington had the right to reject servicing my car, if they wanted to. Should you want to truly understand the level of meanness Anthony Matassa demonstrated, I have a recording of our phone call. I am willing to share it with Acura of Huntington. Thank you.
