I recently took my 2021 Acura ILX to Acura of Ellicott City, and my experience was extremely disappointing. First, they lost my keys for an entire day and didn’t even look at my vehicle, despite having an City, and my experience was extremely disappointing. First, they lost my keys for an entire day and didn’t even look at my vehicle, despite having an appointment. My service advisor, Yeti, was unresponsive—I called over 20 times without any return communication. When they finally addressed my vehicle, they mismanaged my blind spot monitoring issue. The diagnosis indicated that the right side BSI monitor unit had lost communication. It turns out the unit was unplugged and damaged, yet the technician only attempted a temporary fix. The warning light returned almost immediately after they "cleaned" the unit. To make matters worse, the Service Manager, Matt Honeycut, sided with Yeti and refused to submit a warranty claim, claiming it would be denied. The estimate for the necessary repairs came to an outrageous $7,102.80. When I picked up my car, it was dirty and covered in bird droppings. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. I expected much better service from Acura. I would not recommend Acura of Ellicott City based on my experience. More
I was there getting a routine maintenance ( oil change, tire rotation etc) done. I told James that I be hearing a popping noise in the speaker of my suv he told me it takes like 3 hours to fix but, he woul tire rotation etc) done. Anytime I have a concern he will definitely put my mind at ease.I live in Baltimore city and I’m sure it’s a Acura Dealership closer to me. But when you have a great service advisor like James you would travel knowing your vehicle is in good hands. More
By far the worst experience I have ever had. My car has been here since June because of a recall. Worst service and customer interaction. The service rep (cannot recall the lady's name) told us on the phone that our Acura AC/freon was not serviced on the previous visit when calling (as our cold air was (cannot recall the lady's name) told us on the phone that our Acura AC/freon was not serviced on the previous visit when calling (as our cold air was only working off-and-on). Checked-in in person and she told us what the problem is without even pulling the car in for service yet. We asked her if she was diagnosing the car from that, and she said yes. After service, we found the previous service receipt showing the AC was serviced and we were charged for that and freon refill. When it still got warm, they asked us to bring it in again to do a die test. It didn't show anything. Needless to say, horrible service, one of the rudest reps we have ever encountered, and the AC still went warm from time to time. We ensure to tell everyone to stay away at all costs...as you will pay in more than one way. If we could give a negative two (-2) we would. She was the worst..and we paid money to endure her...and the issue was not resolved. More

I see why so many people despise taking their vehicles to dealers for service. This place is a RIP off & $$$ trap. Behind all the smiles & courtesies is a service suggestion & a fee, even on manufacturers se dealers for service. This place is a RIP off & $$$ trap.
