We had been looking for a new SUV to replace our ten year old Highlander for a couple of months and decided on the Acura RDX 2013 FWD Forged Silver without a tech package. We talked with dealers from New Hampshire to Florida, but were unable to find one at a reasonable price until we talked with Alex at Norris West. He persevered to find one and used his energy and contacts to get one delivered to Norris West. He was fair minded in negotiating the sale and gave us a feeling of confidence in his honesty and credibility. The day of our purchase went smoothly. The agreed price and promised RDX did not change. We were treated well by Alex, Tom and the rest of the staff. And now we're enjoying driving this smooth riding beauty, using Bluetooth, the audio system and other features Alex helped set up before we drove off. More
I took my TL 2011 Acura for a problem with the Airbag system. Jeff was extremely helpful, professional and explicit on the details. I worked with Larry Snyder on purchasing a 2012 TL. I started by requesting internet quotes on the TL. Larry provided a quote within 1-2 hrs. Larry and I talked about price and had a 30 minute negotiation and the deal was made. The financing was hassle free and again I was not pressured into anything I did not want. All in all, working with Larry and the Norris team was a great experience. I truly walked out excited, feeling as if I had a good deal on my new TL. I showed up at the Norris Acura dealership last Tuesday morning without an appointment because my wife had a problem with the driver side seat belt the day before. I had to be on the road as quickly as possible for work in my 2011 TL but was worried that the seat belt was not working properly. Jeffrey Deck was able to have a technition look at my car, check the seat belt and all within a half hour and get me on the road with confidence. I say that that is remarkable service with a smile. As a consumer,our number one concern in buying a new or used vehicle is working with a pushy salesperson. That experience alone will drive the consumer away if you end up with a salesperson who is too push used vehicle is working with a pushy salesperson. That experience alone will drive the consumer away if you end up with a salesperson who is too pushy and unrelenting when you are making decisions on an investment of purchasing a vehicle. The experience I had with Nuke was gratifying that he had answered everything I needed to know from beginning to end of my purchase. Nuke had the patience and was able to assist me with my needs especially when the negotiating started. I had one bad experience where all of the employees from a different dealership just happen to walk pass me due to what I was wearing. They were unaware of my eagerness to purchase the vehicle they had. I'm a firm believer that if the first person you run into whether you are at a car dealership or any retail store for that matter, do not greet you when you walk into a space, that tells me they are not interested in your business. Why spend your money where employees from that business don't seem to like your existence? It all starts from the time you walk-in to how people make you feel important. Besides, with this economic down turn we are experiencing, salespersons should be more yielding whether they are having a bad day or not. More
I purchased a 2010 VW GTI from Alex at Norris Acura West. The negotiation was quick and reasonable. We agreed on a price I picked up the car that weekend. It was clean and the experience was pleasant and quick. I was told that MD required a 30 day warranty on all used cars. On a weekday evening nine days later, the car showed a check engine light. As I live ~90 min away and the car is VW, I decided to take it to a VW dealership to have the problem addressed. I called Norris and told them of the issue and that I was taking it to a local VW dealership. I spoke to the used car sales manager John. He said they "would take of me and were sorry for the inconvenience." I dropped it off at the night drop that night and because I heard that, I ok'd the work by the VW dealership the next day. The bill was over $950. The VW dealership agreed to contact Norris to have them pay the bill. Norris refused claiming that the bill was too high. Days of negotiation between Norris, the VW dealer, and me produced only a partial payment by Norris. They paid $650 of the bill and stuck me with the extra $300 on a nine day old used car. I realize this car was used but it's less than 2 years old and I paid over $17,000 for it. They absolutely told me that they would take care of the problem only to quibble over the price of the repair. As a result they'll get a negative review on every dealer rating website I can find. That $300 sounds like a bargain to me compared to the negative advertising... More
