Dumitru from Acura of Boston was by far the most helpful car salesmen I've ever worked with. I went to the dealership that day to investigate the possibility of trading my 2005 Acura TL in for a newer TSX w car salesmen I've ever worked with. I went to the dealership that day to investigate the possibility of trading my 2005 Acura TL in for a newer TSX with less options and a lower monthly payment. He simply asked me what I was looking for, and then proceeded to show me vehicles matching the description I had given him. He was very up front and honest about what the dealership had to offer. After a fairly brief conversation, I decided that the TSX he had shown me was clearly a very good deal, both with the available interest rate at 2.9% and the car's sticker price being a few thousand below book value. We finalized the deal, which was a very smooth and painless process, and I was driving my new TSX home two days later. I had only intended to investigate the possibility of trading in my TL that day, but Dumitru's easy going attitude, knowledge of the vehicles and the brand, attention to detail, and desire to satisfy the customer and not simply bring home a bigger pay check, had convinced me to make a purchase. Since buying the car, Dumitru and Acura of Boston have followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. This was another action that reflected the dealership's commitment to customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend both Acura of Boston and Dumitru Moisei. More
Bought 3 cars from them over the years. Things are quite nice and easy when paying the list price for the first two. Hagging over a year-old demo in 2009 was not altogether a pleasant experience, and I did nice and easy when paying the list price for the first two. I was very pleased with the way I was treated by the folks at Bernardi Acura of Boston. I had been to four dealers previous to my visit to Bernadi, including the other big houses in the Boston area and folks at Bernardi Acura of Boston. I had been to four dealers previous to my visit to Bernadi, including the other big houses in the Boston area and found the staff at Bernardi to be in stark contrast to the others. The staff was knowledgeable about the vehicles they had in their inventory, which is a good start. At this point, I was annoyed at previous dealers' first response of opening a laptop computer and saying "let's see what we have in stock..." This annoyed me because, thanks to the same website they visited, I already knew what they had in stock. Seems to me that any reasonably intelligent dealer would be better informed of their stock than me. Other dealers tried to lock me into a certain vehicle and then grew excessively difficult with which to work. At one dealership, based in Peabody, the price kept going up, which is clearly the wrong direction if they truly wanted to sell me a car. The staff there, I felt, deliberately wasted my time and proved frustrating with which to work, causing me to feel that I needed to leave and not come back. When I expressed that all I wanted, at this point, was to go, the dealer insisted I wait to talk to his manager who was on the phone. The manager simply regurgitated what I was already told, precisely as I expected him to do, and further wasted my time and made me feel stupid for even being there. The staff at Bernardi worked with me to find the best fit. They offered me very fair value for my trade-in and was clearly willing to work with me on the price of the car I was buying. I felt that my business was wanted and valued. It made my decision to purchase a certified pre-owned Acura TL from Bernardi and easy one for which I am greatly appreciative. More
I enjoyed dealing with Kevin and I would recommend people to ask for him. He was very personable and friendly and he answered all of my questions. I do not have much spare change,since I lost my full-time job about three years ago, and was reluctant to pay the most I have every paid by far for a car. It was my salesman, Saran Dep, who put me at ease. He was just so accommodating, from explaining the advantages of the 08 RL tech. to even making a recording for me after I purchased the car, explaining the many controls in the car, many more than I had ever had before. Then he offered to answer any questions that came up, at any time in the future, on the most efficient use of the car and gave me his contact number. I never thought I was really going to buy the car when I walked in, but I found myself talking to someone who was more like a friend/counselor type than a salesman. He was just that nice. The two folks from the business office, John Cleary and Neil Gately gave me a lot of information on extended contracts and rim and wheel contracts. They did this in a friendly way, not selling it or pushing it on me. What they said made sense, so I took those contracts. All three of these guys were very efficient in performing their work. I never felt rushed, but I never felt my time was wasted. Generally, the atmosphere in the whole place was friendly, so the general manager must be doing something right. I think the price I got for the car was good, and a little better than competitors. There is always some "buyers regret", particularly when the buyer made the splurge of his lifetime, but I feel confident that I will have a good relationship with Bernardi's Acura as time goes along. DUMITRU MOISEI is the salesperson who instantly turned my opinion of Bernardi from an unpleasant experience into a superior experience. His knowledge, attention to detail, listening skills and suggestions were spot on. He was engaging from the moment I walked in the door and his enthusiasm to meet my needs was entirely genuine--he never tried to shoehorn me into a purchase but very specifically pointed out all the options each car model posessed and which ones I might find practical, pleasurable and to my advantage. His relationship with Perry Wong, the manager, was very trustworthy and I felt that Dumitru was my advocate when it came time to negotiate the price. The pocess was cordial, smooth, and entirely satisfying. For me, buying the car was the end of the process, but for Dumitru it was just the beginning. He next orchestrated the entire business transaction and made certain all the arrangements for the registration, plate transfer, insurance and title were expedited properly. Nor did his attention to detail stop there. Once I returned to pick up the car he transferred the plates, magically transferred my neighborhood parking sticker, and walked me through the very detailed and complex navigation and hands free technology which is a major feature in a TL S Type. Once I pulled off the lot and arrived home I realized that not only did I purchase the car I desired, but that I purchased it from a person who left no stone unturned in an effort to make the purchase as pleasant as the product. Then today he called to check up on my effort to manage the navigation system and when I said I needed a bit more instruction he set up a time for me and I came in and he walked me through it step by step for a second time. I never once felt I was imposing on his time and instead I again left feeling as if he took pleasure in meeting my needs. More
