I went to the dealership to purchase a Certified MDX, since we puchased a new Acura TL about 6 years ago and had an OK experience.. This time we were not so lucky.. The experience was a nightmare.. We sp since we puchased a new Acura TL about 6 years ago and had an OK experience.. This time we were not so lucky.. The experience was a nightmare.. We spoke to a salesman, negotiated the price of the car and our trade (the Acura TL we purchased from this dealership).. We went in already having financing taken care of so there were no reason for running credit applications.. We were told by one of the salesmen that they(Acura of Baton Rouge) had to run a background check on us to see if we were xxxxxxxxxx.. I have never heard nor experienced anything like this to purchase a car.. A terrorist background check to buy a car!?!?? After all of this, we were told they(Acura of Baton Rouge) needed to have the money in thier hands before we could take the vehicle because "credit unions say one thing and do another sometimes".. This is what we were told.. So we walked out.. I contacted Acura Consumer relations department and they have never heard of these practices either.. This branch of Acura has escalated a investigation into this.. I've heard bad thing about this dealership before but this experience takes the cake.. More
I have never had such a great car buying experience in all my life. This is coming from someone who worked in the business. At one point, I was trading vehicles every 10 to 12 months. I have NEVER had all my life. This is coming from someone who worked in the business. At one point, I was trading vehicles every 10 to 12 months. I have NEVER had a car salesmen treat me the way John Bramlett, Jr. did. From the moment we shook hands he treated me with the upmost respect. Being a woman car shopping alone can be intimidating and frustrating. The waiting, negotiaing, the feeling of not being taken seriously. It's all feelings or emotions I have normally felt in the past. This experience was truly like no other. He listened to everything I had to say, and I could tell he took me serious. There was no waiting for anything. He made everything go so smooth. He was willing to do things the way I asked, which was mostly by phone. This saved me so much time. There was no negotiating, I told him what I wanted what my price range was and he got me there. There was not questions asked. He didn't try to talk me into something I didn't want or need. He truly went out of his way to make sure my car buying experience was flawless. And it truly was! This is a great dealership, filled with great people. I will definitly be buying my next car here. Thanks John for helping me in everyway you could, thanks for being honest and treating me with respect. You are great! More
When we went to the dealership, we looked at the car we were interested in. Caitlin came out to help us. We asked for a brochure on the Acura ILX. She went in to get info. We went for a test drive. My wife and I had previously purchased an Acura from this dealership so when it came time to buy her another car, we again visited Acura of Baton Rouge. Bo was very helpful to my wife and was very knowledgeable about the various vehicles we were considering. Ultimately, my wife decided to buy a new 2012 MDX. Bo made the buying process very easy and efficient, which was critical for us considering our busy schedules. You would think all dealerships would want to make the car buying experience this simple. When my wife finally picked up her new MDX, Bo spent a good bit of time going through all of the options again, setting up her Bluetooth, and all of the programmable functions to meet her specific needs. In the end, my wife is very pleased with her purchase and would buy from Bo and this dealership again. More
