My Lucerne had gas fumes. Its dealer was fully booked, so I took it to my former dealer, Acton Toyota, last Fri. pm. Not only were they able to look at it next day, they had a Its dealer was fully booked, so I took it to my former dealer, Acton Toyota, last Fri. pm. Not only were they able to look at it next day, they had a rental program. On Mon., after the svc. crew found leaky fuel lines, Miguel strongly recommended I take the car to Colonial Chevrolet, for they had certified mechanics for American cars w/ this kind of problem. He had dealt w/ them before, and felt confident they could fix it safely and less expensively. He didn't charge for any svc., not even for diagnostic analysis. He even spoke to Alicia, who issued the rental Corolla to me ( a pleasure to drive a nice, fumeless car for a couple days!), and they agreed to deduct a day's rent (for the day the car sat waiting for inspection). How about that?! Instead of grasping for my business, Miguel sends me to another dealer, not only to save me money, but w/ my safety in mind. Thank you, Miguel and Alicia!! More

*This review is NOT a reflection on my personal experience with my salesman. Naithan was responsive, answered all my questions promptly, and was incredibly nice and friendly. My complaint is about the dealership itself*  All 3 of my previous cars have come from Acton Toyota, so I was really hoping to get a new one from them this time around. Their customer service is great, and I have no complaints about my salesperson. He was kind and prompt in responding to questions and e-mails. However, asking for a $2k upcharge above MSRP on any kind of Corolla is simply not right. I was looking for an in-demand model, yes (LE Hybrid and AWD), but my quotes for the same exact car at different MA/NH dealerships have been significantly lower. There are other places around here with either smaller markups or no markup at all that will be able to find you your car in the same amount of time -  or in my case, faster. I will also note - the markup was never expressly pointed out to me - it was up to me to notice the discrepancy in the VSPEC vs the Quote, in which the additional charge was not itemized. Sneaky. Due to this experience, not only am I not sticking with them for this car, I will never come back to Acton Toyota after years of loyalty. Dealerships taking advantage of the consumer during this time of low inventory will be remembered when the market turns and they have a surplus. Sorry, it's not an excuse for corporate greed, especially when there are other options around! :)  More
