I received an online quote that was below invoice, so I stopped by to see if it was legit. My trade was a Tundra and I got a low ball trade-in offer. The really sleazy part of the experience is when they tried to backup the lowball trade-in offer with an improperly filled out KBB pricing report.... More

Can't say enough nice things about the kind assistance I received in buying my new Prius. As a former examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award -- http://baldrige.nist.gov/ -- I've becom received in buying my new Prius. As a former examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award -- http://baldrige.nist.gov/ -- I've become attuned to the particulars of customer experience. Certainly it was necessary to obtain offers from a number of different dealers. Acton's was among the lower offers, although not the rock-bottom lowest. Nevertheless it became apparent very quickly upon making contact with Acton Toyota that superior customer service would be THE deciding factor for me in ultimately accepting an offer. No other dealer came close in responsiveness and respectfulness -- the difference was apparent immediately. Especially I appreciated the no-games approach Acton takes in sales. It is a model that I hope makes its way into the rest of Toyota's dealer network -- not to speak of the entire auto industry's dealership universe. At every step, I was impressed by the tight integration among all departments and the seamlessness with which everything moved forward. Communication seemed to go very smoothly. Everyone I came in contact with expressed interest in assisting me. And the esprit-de-corps and generally upbeat and friendly ambience were very much in evidence in the on-line purchase department. I concluded that Acton employees must find the dealership to be an enjoyable place to work, which added greatly to the positive overall experience. As the key representative of Acton Toyota with whom I came in contact, Andrew Snyder was a fine ambassador for the values that the dealership articulates -- helpful, informative, straightforward, trust-worthy. In particular his go-the-extra-mile attitude stood out, from elucidating the particulars of Acton's offer to obtaining the not-usually-available Package 3 model for me -- the one I really wanted. And although bad weather delayed its delivery, I truly appreciated his staying on top of things and being in close touch as to its ETA. The single downside I can think of is that the distance between Cambridge, where I live, and Acton ultimately may be a real barrier preventing my servicing the car there. Acton Toyota has spoiled me! However, for the pricing it is slightly very courteous and congenial. That is why I am giving high scores for Customer Service and Friendliness. However, for the pricing it is slightly lower due to the following reasons: The e-mail price quoted was lower than others considering Acton Toyota's lower Documentation Fee (We received another quote $300 lower than Acton Toyota's but that dealership had a documentation fee that was $535 higher). However, Acton Toyota was quite stingly with the trade-in. We feel they did not give us what we deserved. We made the mistake of not taking the trade-in car with us when we purchased our new Camry. Though they were gracious to accept it a day later but the price they gave us was next to nothing. Had we bargained on the trade at the time of purchase, we feel we would have gotten some more - at least in the range of Blue Book trade-in value. More

The response I got from Bob Rabb and Matt Lameroux was outstanding. I would recommend this dealership to any of my friends looking to purchase a vechicle.
