After my car got totaled in an accident, I was in a hurry to get one. I zeroed on Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Toyota Prius. I started requesting quotes from dealers. I was surprised to see the price on Accord still on high side, considering it is a year end model. I dropped Camry midway after hearing a lot of transmission problems, and that left me with Prius. I got a bunch of quotes from dealers and one of the lowest came from Carl. I have to admit it wasnt the lowest, although it was $50 away. I eliminated high quote dealers and checked with the 3 dealers. The other two dealers didnt say that their price included the destination. I checked with Carl and decided to see the car in person. By the time I got to the dealership, Carl told me he doesnt have the color. It irked me(I have to admit that I havent given him my color preference when we talked), since I lived an hour away and he said he will be able to get me the color, but I have to forego $200 in discount that he offered if I got it from his dealership. He came back the next business day and the deal was complete the next day. No surprises! I refused after market accessories and the extended warranty, although they didnt push it. I probably could have done $200 cheaper elsewhere, but I still appreciate their straight on face transactions. After ordering and waiting 10-1/2 weeks for my RAV4 to come from another dealership, I finally gave up and began to look for other dealers that might have the car I wanted. When I called, I spoke with Juliana Chavez and I explained the ordeal I had been having with my local dealership - at which point she informed me that my dealer had poor Customer Satisfaction ratings, and therefore may never get my vehicle. I gave her my preferred vehicle and list of options and within two days she had my car in hand. I picked it up last Friday and the delivery was as smooth and easy as I have ever experienced! (less than 1 week from initial call to delivery) All of the negotiating and paperwork was done via phone, and when I picked up the RAV, we took a quick drive, signed the paperwork, and we were done. The whole process took less than 2 hours! It should always be this simple!
