I recently purchased a car from Acton Toyota. I started with the Internet, because I don't like pushy salespeople. I found over the last several years that this is a great starting place. Carl McFee from Acton Toyota responded to my request. He understood exactly what I wanted. He didn't try to sell me options that I wasn't interested in. He went out of his way to answer my questions. When I saw the color of the car I was interested in, I didn't like it. He went through the list again to find another one without extra options and took me out to the yard to show me the color of the exterior and the interior because the car wasn't there. I was also able to take a car out for a test run without someone with me which I prefer. My buying experience from this dealership was exactly what I was looking for. The purchase price and my trade in was the final decision. Through this whole transaction there was never any pressure on me to do anything I didn't want to do. I also have taken my previous Toyota to this dealership for service. I have had the same experience with the service department. Courtesy and service are a big part of this dealership. More

We settled down the car style and options smoothly and signed the contract and then got the car 2 days later. And Mr Hsu also introduced a lot about the features of the car to us in detail. The entire process was a pleasure and fun. They answered my question quickly and patiently. I would recommend Acton Toyota and Mr. Ken Hsu to everybody I know who wants to buy a Toyota/Scion. More
Very bad experience with this dealership. I was looking for a 2009 Camry. First of all, they started quoting me all these fees: “$10 Gas fee, $126 Floormats, $200 Finance Reserves, $424 Factory Holdback, for a 2009 Camry. First of all, they started quoting me all these fees: “$10 Gas fee, $126 Floormats, $200 Finance Reserves, $424 Factory Holdback, and $280 Advertising”. These fees set off alarm bells in my head, but I thought, “well, they seem to be highly rated.” We decided to visit the dealership anyway to check it out, but I was on my guard because of the fees. After some negotiation, they agree to take an additional it down $400 because we were graduating students. However, they never told us we had to finance in order to take advantage of it. We didn’t find that out until after we returned to the dealership the second time to buy the car. We had the cash and were willing to pay upfront, but they refused. They said we had to finance at least $5000 to take advantage of the $400 rebate. I knew they could waive the finance charges, because my brother was given the $400 off without financing when he graduated from college and bought his first Camry. We walked out pretty mad. We went to Woburn Toyota the next day. Their initial price was actually lower than Acton’s initial quote to me! We asked them to bring it down $400, and they agreed. And we were able to pay cash. No hassles, no pushing, no bait & switch. Go to Woburn Toyota and ask for Art Derfall. He’s fantastic. Very down to earth, and listened very carefully to everything we wanted. He was rated “excellent” by quite a few other people as well. He never pushed the “$10 gas fee, $126 mandatory floor mats, $280 advertising, etc”. Glad I gave him my business. He was a pleasure to work with, and I love my new car. More

The sales pressure I experienced at the other dealers was annoying. I went to Acton Toyota and I had a great experience. Jim Piazas, Sales Representative was the best Sales Representative I have ever dealt with. No sales pressure. I told Jim, the model and color Tacoma I wanted, and the price I wanted to pay. In two days, he had the truck. I took the truck for a long ride. When I came back, I told him I wanted the truck. I asked questions about the truck and he went over everything with me. I picked up the truck two days later. When I got there on Saturday Morning, Jim was waiting for me. The truck was washed and waxed, and had a full tank gas. The plates were on the truck, and the paper work was complete. Jim asked me if I was happy with the truck and I said everything is perfect. You could not ask for a better experience. My experience at Acton Toyota was pleasant and stress-free from beginning to end! I had been referred by a friend; as a result, I contacted Matt Farnsworth (the internet manager) via email to ask stress-free from beginning to end! I had been referred by a friend; as a result, I contacted Matt Farnsworth (the internet manager) via email to ask for a quote on a 2008 Toyota Prius. He responded within the hour with quotes for several models and options. I then visited the dealership for a test drive. When I arrived, I sat down with Bob Rabb, my salesperson, who explained a little about the vehicle, after which I actually drove two models. I settled upon a new 2008 Toyota Prius Touring Edition. I was able to obtain the EXACT model, color and option package that I had requested. This is unusual for this particular car, since it is literally flying out of lots everywhere; however, the inventory and pricing at Acton Toyota was superior to any of the several other dealerships where I did research. Everyone was extremely comfortable to deal with. There was no "pressure" to buy additional upgrades, options, etc. With a small down-payment (which was fully refundable in the event that I decided to not purchase the vehicle), the car was held for me so that my wife would have an opportunity to see it the next day. When we arrived, they asked if I would like to pick it up that day. I was not expecting to do that, but they prepared the car in a couple of hours and I drove it home the same day!! I DID purchase an extended warranty which is highly recommended for any vehicle that incorporates "cutting-edge" technology. The dealership was very accommodating in ensuring that everything was done to my satisfaction. It was one of the smoothest auto transactions that I have experienced, and I would recommend Acton Toyota very highly!! More
This was not the first dealership I had gone to. I am a 21 year old college student and was treated just as equal as a business man. I bought a certified 2004 corolla (which is great on gas), from JOHN BER 21 year old college student and was treated just as equal as a business man. I bought a certified 2004 corolla (which is great on gas), from JOHN BERNARD, and it had a slight dent in it that I asked if he could fix and he assured me no problem. They provided me with a 2008 Camry hybrid to drive around while my corolla was in the shop. when it came back the auto body guys had messed up and i was reluctant to say anything thinking that I was going to have to face facts that this really is just another dealership, BUT IT WAS NOT, John and his sales manager Jeff (without me even telling them I wasn't happy with it) refused to let me be take it in that condition and had the car sent back to the auto body to be refinished; while they paid for my rental for a few more days! I came back and the car's body work was beyond wonderful, they also replaced a scratched hubcap and fixed another small dent in the front. John shook my hard with a smile and I was off as content as ever. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT ORDINARY THEY ACTUALLY WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY IN ALL WAYS AND WILL NOT STOP TRYING UNTIL YOU ARE! 5/5 HANDS DOWN! ASK FOR JOHN BERNARD HE WILL TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT AND IS A DOWN TO EARTH GUY.All said and done I will be a long lasting Acton Toyota customer and would reccomend this dealership to any friend. More

He answer questions ,got me a price I was happy with and even stayed after his shift was over to assist me with the purchase of my new Toyota.( I found out only after we had finished the transaction) Carl showed me everything I needed to know to drive my new car ( all those new gadgets), was polite and honest. Peter was funny personable and explained all of the financial info. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Acton Toyota to anyone looking for a new car. Donna R. More

Imagine actually looking forward to car shopping. That's how I feel about Acton Toyota. Every other dealership I've been to in the Boston area gives me endless hassle, runaround, manipulation and lies--the how I feel about Acton Toyota. Every other dealership I've been to in the Boston area gives me endless hassle, runaround, manipulation and lies--the standard car salesman BS. Acton Toyota gives me a straightforward, simple no hassle quote--which has always been lower than the negotiated "bargain" price other dealerships offered. All of the salesmen there have been helpful. They cooperate with each other. Steve Jensen helped me buy my Corolla Matrix and RAV4. He loves cars, and the enthusiasm shows. It's great to have fun test driving a new car and have someone show you all its features. Steve, Ken Hsu and Anthony Clark always answered my questions promptly, and didn't try to pressure me. They did go out of their way to help me find the exact car I was looking for, and emailed me to let me know about new Toyota incentives. I highly recommend Acton--a COMPLETELY different car buying experience. Stop the madness of normal car buying, and go shop at Acton where people will actually try to serve you instead of hassling you. Derek More
