The time had come to begin the dreaded taks of negotiation. While preparing for this I chanced upon Acton Toyota's web site offering a free on-line quote. I took advantage of this thinking it would be a useful tool for negotiation. The free quote was provided within the hour of my request, and was below what I had expected to reach through negotiation. I thought it was too good to be true and with my 76 years of experience figured it probably was. As a courtesy I gave my original dealer a chance to match this quote but they couldn't (wouldn't) come close. With some secpticism I proceeded to close the deal via the internet with Acton Toyota and the very able help of Kyle Nelthorpe. Everything was found to be true, above board, with no surprises, no hidden costs, and I found the whole transaction to be a very pleasant experience. I never expected them to live up to their reputation--because it is so good--but they absolutely exceeded my expectations. When I submitted an on-line request for a quote, I received a reply immediately with the information I had requested. Kyle Nelthorpe in their Internet Sales division was my contact throughout the process. Even though I did not immediately reply to the quote information, and actually took a month or more before I was ready to make a purchase, Kyle was always polite, friendly, helpful, and never pushy. He kept in contact, provided me with the information I requested, and otherwise let me proceed at my own pace. When I finally was ready to make a purchase, I wanted to move quickly and drive my new Toyota away ASAP. Kyle made it happen in record time--I was able to drive my new car away two days after finally deciding what I wanted. As a first-time car buyer, I did not know a lot about the process. Kyle and Ben Koller, who handled the financial aspects of the transaction, both took the time to explain everything to me, and take care of all aspects of the purchase. When I was actually at the dealership, I was impressed by how friendly and happy everyone who worked there was. Every employee seemed glad to be there, which created a very pleasant environment. What impressed me most about Acton Toyota was their genuine commitment to serving the customer's needs. When I wanted to move slowly, that was fine, and nobody was pushy, but when I needed a car ASAP, they made that happen too. I went with my daughter to look at a Camry we saw on their website. Bob immediately got the keys, let us test drive the vehicle and stayed way beyond closing time to finish the deal. Even the man in the service/parts department came out to help us with the coffee machine. Their prices were excellent, better than the other dealerships we visited. We didn't have to deal with the "game playing" which was refreshing. The purchase of the Camry went smooth, no problems and my daughter is very HAPPY! Thank you Everyone at Acton Toyota!!!!
