This is my full review I put on Google under Kristen Boone: I want to let everyone know: DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Please go elsewhere to save yourself frustration. My husband and I bou Boone: I want to let everyone know: DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Please go elsewhere to save yourself frustration. My husband and I bought a car from them last week, and we're still debating on taking it back since it's still within its allotted return time, and it's not even because we dislike the vehicle. The vehicle isn't the issue. When we bought the vehicle (a 2018 Ford Escape), there were a few scratches and the ceiling had some spots on it like a soda exploded, so they said they would fix the scratches and the ceiling in our agreement. They gave us the only key they claimed they had for the vehicle and didn't even have the keycode for the door (they didn't even mention the keycode when they sold it to us). I called later to ask if they had the keycode, but they said I would have to ask Ford for it. So I call Ford, and the guy I speak with said it was weird they didn't have the keycode, but said it'll cost $35 to retrieve the code from the system. I call this dealership back and ask for the keycode again, but nothing. I call again later and try to schedule an appointment to have the scratches and ceiling fixed. The body shop guy said I didn't need to make an appointment and I can just come in. I'm a little worried by that, but I dismiss it and say I'll be there tomorrow. So today, we go in with the vehicle, absent minded on how long it would take (I did consider bringing a second vehicle just in case it took forever, but we decided against it since we had nothing else to do). They said they can squeeze us in for today (so does this mean I should've made an appointment when the guy told me I didn't need to??). So they take the car and we wait FOUR HOURS for it to be done. When they gave us the car back, I see... they didn't do crap besides wipe down the interior, vacuum, the scratches are STILL visible (just slightly less noticable, but still noticable), and the ceiling looks like they didn't even TRY to clean it. I waited FOUR HOURS for that?? Is this dealership serious?? I could've done a better job on the scratches by filling it in with a matching Sharpie (not advised). The used Corolla I bought a few years back had worse scratches and Toyota FIXED it so much better than their attempts. I can't even find the scratches on my Corolla anymore. The man who sold us the Escape, Rikki Vance, seemed unknowledgable and did not seem like he would go "above and beyond" for his customers. Nobody we interacted with did, really. So we're stuck with either returning the car, or we decide to actually pay to have a second key made and pay more money to get the keycode. Additionally, when they sold us the vehicle, this one man asked about a review for the company and for them as salespersons. He brought it up a couple or so times, so I brought out my phone and he gave me unneeded guidance to the reviews on google so I could put mine. Then he just stood there and watched as I made my "4 star fake review." No. This was unnecessary and I felt somewhat pushed to do it, and I could've just not done it. I wish I remembered this guy's name. TL;DR: Union City ALM Dealership does not care about its customers. Do not buy from them. Edit: I researched how to get the keycode, and found it above the passenger side above the fuse box. This dealership is lazy and idiotic. The only word I have is wow. I've cleaned up the ceiling myself. More
