In April 2022, I purchased a 2016 VW Jetta from ALM Hyundai. I noted on the Carfax that there had been a mileage discrepancy with an auto auction seller, but I presumed the car had 53k miles (odometer Hyundai. It is now late December, and the car still has not been registered in North Carolina (I live just outside Wilmington), and as nice as the staff has been, I have not received a straight answer, or as the say "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth". Instead, I've received a nonstop stream of excuses and evasions as to why they cannot register the car in NC. My son is driving the car on about the third or fourth temporary tag, and the lender has started asking questions. Issues / challenges arise all the time, how you deal with it is the difference between real customer service and fertilizer. I paid the fee for "Documents, Title and Tags", and I expect them to figure out how to deliver. To date, that hasn't happened, and I have no confidence that short of driving 100 miles back to Florence myself, I won't get a straight answer anytime soon. More
Edit: I got my car back after 6+ months. The engine that was replaced here CAUGHT FIRE while I was driving within 48 hours of picking it up. Not a small fire. Good luck getting a call or e-mail back, let alone your vehicle. It has been almost 6 months and even Hyundai corporate is having a hard time getting calls back. When we do get any information it is incorrect. I have been told multiple times that I should have my car "in two weeks" beginning about 3 months ago. All I have asked for is an honest update and I get either rudeness from Tricia or a lack of response from Joey or Ken. Also when I originally left a 1 star review someone named Eve reached out stating they would take over communication and make sure I was kept in the loop and asked me to change my rating. In good faith; I did. Have not heard back from her at all since then. This place is unethical and dishonest. More
I bought a Palisade limited 2023 in August 2022. The car came with some paint damage. The salesman told me not to worry because that was covered by the package I had paid over 3 thousand dollars. When I go there the person who works with the paint is not there. Eve gives me a second appointment and again the person of the appointment was not there. Eve gave me contact with a company outside the dealer with whom I have not been able to make an appointment. Now she never answers the call. Even at the dealer my number is blocked. I have to call from another number and they never answer. 3 months and they have never fixed the paint on the car. A car of more than 50 thousand dollars. Very good at selling, but horrible customer service. More

Some weeks later my credit card began being used for fraudulent charges. At first is was some small charges from "ALM Newnan" in Georgia. Then I started to see larger charges at stores & restaurants. Knowing this was not valid I called and emailed the sales manager asking how this could happen and to contact me on what they found. It's been over 4 weeks and no response to calls or email. This dealer just doesn't are about you after the sale is done. Please be warned you personnel information could be at risk as well. More

My 2017 Tucson has been at ALM since the first week of April due to an engine recall. Obviously it’s not their fault that my engine has a recall, I didn’t even buy it from this specific dealership. However, over the past 6 months of not having my vehicle, I’ve gotten run around through multiple service advisors & been told numerous different things. They told me 1 person was in front of me for the engine back in May… A month or so ago, the service manager told us that they were ordering the engine (even though a service advisor told us it had been ordered back in APRIL) and it should be a few weeks. Two weeks ago, a service advisor told us a few had come in and mine was in the line to get fixed. But as of today, no one remembers telling us this and we are still waiting on an engine??? My wife has been without a vehicle for 6 months with no clear answers and Hyundai Corporate goes based on what the dealership says. I’d never consider getting a car here and if you need service or a recall handled, please just take the trip somewhere else. No one, including Hyundai corporate cares about you. More
