Hello Operdella, Thank you for your feedback. The recommended instructions of calling prior to having your vehicle towed to our location was for us to have time to input complete vehicle information and service records to Hyundai Corp for your stated recall information. Your vehicle arrived unannounced from the Charleston area, by tow truck with no prior arrival input from us to Hyundai Corp., having no battery, a locked motor, no prior service records and over 200k miles. We do not offer goodwill services in these circumstances for obvious reasons. We apologize that we were unable to assist you in this. Thank you for your response Mr. Myers, but I spoke to your service department on Friday, March 11, 2021 and was told my vehicle had four open recalls one specifically with an engine part recall. I asked the gentleman what did the engine inspection entail and was told “diagnostics would be ran on the motor and if the engine failed it would be replaced.” Additionally, in the conversation I asked your service employee what steps needed to be taken in order for my vehicle to go through the diagnostic recall test because the vehicle stopped working the week prior. I was told to call back before having the vehicle towed so a spot could be made for it on the lot when it was towed. He also said “let me warn you the wait is about 4-6 weeks before your vehicle would even make it to the shop. Never was I told anything about service records, or any of the other stipulations until my vehicle arrived. The bottom line Mr. Myers is had I been told that your dealership was no longer accepting any more Hyundai’s with recall issues I would have never incurred the expenses. The takeaway here to better your business is to provide essential information beforehand to a consumer and not after the fact. Respectfully Submitted,
