First off, the receptionist was very rude - I tried to reach the service department, and was unable to get through. Then I called back a few times to speak to the receptionist & she rudely put me through reach the service department, and was unable to get through. Then I called back a few times to speak to the receptionist & she rudely put me through to the service department without even speaking to me. And second, the gentleman who answered the phone in the service dept was not friendly at all, as I was told I could not bring my car in for service unless it was between 7 and 4. Unheard of, by the way... Every other dealership I've been to gladly accepts anyone's business during all operating hours. In addition to my bad experience today, I attempted to purchase a vehicle from this dealership previously but was told I could only purchase a car for $525/mo or more (ridiculous!) due to my credit. Mind you, I was approved for much lower at another Hyundai dealership, where I purchased my current car. Very displeased and will not be returning to this dealership. More
On Jan 19th 2013 I brought my brand new Black Hyundai On Jan 19th 2013 I brought my brand new Black Hyundai Veloster to Thorton Rd Hyundai to get my first free oil change. I told the service writer that On Jan 19th 2013 I brought my brand new Black Hyundai Veloster to Thorton Rd Hyundai to get my first free oil change. I told the service writer that I did "NOT" want my car washed, so it got washed by the same brush they use to clean the floors with. I was scratched all over, hood, driver and passenger side and back. I showed the new scratched to the service writer and was told to call the Service Manager on Monday. I took the car back and got a rental car till the car was ready, on Fri afternoon the Service Manager called me to tell me the car was ready. The next day (Sat) I went back up there to get my car, I noticed it still had massive scratches and now swirls all in the car ( making it look like they did not take my car serious ) I did not accept the car in the condition and left it for them to try again. The third visit I saw a big 7' scratch on the inside back drivers door panel. I took the car but was told to call the SM again on that Monday to resolve this on going issue with the scratches, swirls and now a new scratch on my drivers inside door panel. The Service Manager seemed short and tired of dealing with me and my car and how they ruined my paint. His response to my car and me was " What do you want from me " " I cant make your car show room ready " " What can I do to make this problem go away " My response was " I dont want anything for free, I just want my car the way it was, before I gave it to you " On 2/1/13 after a big heavy rain, I noticed swirls, scratches and wax all over my car. Wax on the rubber moldings all over my car, scratches still not fixed and swirls giving my brand new black car a 3D effect. I will never take my car back to them, I will go out of my way to drive 50+ miles to another dealership to get any kind of work done. The service department only cares about getting as much money out of your pocket and if you have any issues they act like your the one who is the problem. Short, Unfriendly and Unwilling to fix give good customer service! More
It took me 3 hours and 45 minutes this morning (9:15am until 1:00pm) to get a door latch replaced on my new Santa Fe. I am not complaining about how long it took,(they had to send to Roswell for a part),b until 1:00pm) to get a door latch replaced on my new Santa Fe. I am not complaining about how long it took,(they had to send to Roswell for a part),but my service rep never communicated this to me until 1 1/2 hours into my visit, and then I had to go back and ask for information. At that time Brian(my service rep) told me that it could not be fixed today. Another gentleman (service rep)who happened to be in the area overheard our conversation, and told me someone had been sent to Roswell for the part. My rep didn't even know what was going on with my car. I said ok , and went back to wait. 1 1/2 hours later I went back again to ask Brian the status of my car. He informed me that he would have to check. Again the other gentleman said...oh the driver's been back with that part for awhile.Again Brian had no idea what was going on with my car....so now they finally get my car into the shop to work on it(I don't know why they couldn't have already taken the old part off while waiting on the new one). My point is, I waited almost 4 hours and no one communicated anything to me without my asking.....I call that very POOR service....all someone had to do was let me know what was happening.....My Santa Fe is less than 4 months old and alrady is starting to have problems. I also have the tinting coming off my window on the driver's door.I was told I would have to bring my car BACK in AGAIN to get that repaired......NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE!!!! More
Out of town, needed Hyundai repair. Thornton was the only dealer In Atlanta that offered to take a look at our car. I cannot believe how poorly Hyundai treats their customers, but Thornton went above and bey dealer In Atlanta that offered to take a look at our car.
