I started shopping for a car the day I walked on the Thornton Road lot. Had 7 different makes & models to consider, but the Hyundai Elantra was my first choice. The sales consultant was very helpful, Thornton Road lot. Had 7 different makes & models to consider, but the Hyundai Elantra was my first choice. The sales consultant was very helpful, calling me whenever an Elantra was in to see, consider or test drive. It took over a month for a car with all the options I wanted to arrive at the lot. During that time, I was looking at other makes and models, but kept returning to Hyundai because the car, warranty and price always proved to be the best on the market, and the sales consultant wasn't pressuring me to buy; he was honest, patient,not pushy just keeping me informed about what was available. THE car finally arrived, but I wound up in emergency the next day. I negotiated all parts of the deal over the phone with the sales consultant who took it to management and received approval for everything, came in the next morning to do the paperwork in a rush to spend the day with my grandson. My consultant already had a customer when I arrived, so 4 different people brought me paperwork to sign, I asked 3 of them to see figures, and no one ever showed them to me; therefore, I believed the deal was going as I'd discussed/negotiated on the phone. I personally mentioned to Ken that I'd asked twice, was signing all kinds of papers and had not yet been shown any numbers, he merely laughed and said, "Wow, Jeff's an even better salesman than I thought". Still no numbers, more papers to sign; still assuming the deal was as expected, I went to the Finance Mangager, hoping to be finished soon. When the final numbers were printed out for my signature, the final figures were much higher than I had agreed to. I almost walked away; I almost called my sales consultant who knew the deal we'd discussed and who was still working with the other customer, I was angry with the many folks who had been asking me to sign papers, but not showing me numbers so that I knew what was going on. I was angry because I had trusted them to do what they I believed said they would. I was ready to go fulfill the day promised to my grandson, and now the numbers were incorrect! I knew if I backed out at that point, or now tried to negotiate what I thought had already been done, I'd loose the car and walk out with my old vehicle. I decided ... I wanted the car, I could afford it, I didn't want to waste any more of my grandson's promised time, so, I signed. A few days later, I felt cheated, lied to, taken advantage of, so I had to readdress it with my sales consultant who was also surprised when he saw the final numbers. At earliest convenience, I met with the GM (DBooth) to discuss my disappointment with the deal. He was condescending and inferred I should have known how they did business. I bought my last car 11 years ago; how should I know how they do business? He did, though he didn't have to, agree to give me a 5-yr maintenance agreement. I understand I should have walked away, insisted on numbers to negotiate even though I believed it was already done before I walked in, but I didn't. I do appreciate the effort to win back my confidence in Hyundai and the dealership. I was impressed with the salesman & I'd buy another Hyundai ... from HIM. More
The experience was good. For a while, I felt as if the sales consultant was trying to seel a car to me that I did not want. We also worked with the finance manager, who informed us that it would be easier to get us into a new car than into a used one. Both men helped and satisfied our requirements before we left the dealership. We would give the dealership our 80% approval. My only suggestion would be that sales staff listen more before reacting and makign suggestions. More

We were advised and assisted in the buying experience by Lanny Lee, the Internet Sales team leader, and Tyran Benson who assisted him. The process went very smoothly and we bought the car we wanted for a very competitive price. At no time during this process were we put under any pressure to buy options or extras that we didn't want. Taurus Williams handled the financing side of the deal for us in a very friendly and competent way. The overall experience was excellent and, in the event I might need another vehicle, Thornton Road Hyundai would be the place I would go to get it. I would definitely recommend recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a Hyundai. More
